You shouldn't hang out so much with a dude you like if he's taken unless you want this to happen, there is no point in lying to yourself. You're not necessarily bad, but I'd call you unwise as you can't trust his words "she doesn't pay me any attention", "she doesn't treat me right". It could be true or it could be horseshit, as a lot of dudes use those words as an excuse.
He quick jumped there then, that seems really strange. If i was in love with a girl and we broke up it wouldn't be unless i tried to resolve any issues and failed, or that she cheated on me. However would i just go straight into another relationship? No. I'd need time to heal. I doubt this guy will stay with you because the next girl that has an interest in him, he'll just dump and move to her leaving you heartbroken.
It doesn't make you a bad person. But I wouldn't go in a relationship like that. My parents went in a similar relationship and nothing worked out, there's constant guilt and worry, remembering of the past, constant worry they'll do that again. Not worth it in my opinion.

His ex should have taken care of him. There must be something missing with her that he got feelings for you.

You didn’t actively sabotage his relationship. The only mistake here is he should have dumped her a year ago but it’s not uncommon for people to drift along not all that happy till something triggers them to end things.

You didn't steal him away, he voluntarily left her. He said she didn't really care about him so she wasn't doing her job. You can't be faulted for being a better match for him than she was. If anything, she probably deserved being dumped for another woman.

I wouldn't say steal. it's not like guys are simply just a small object you can put in your purse and make your way out the store. if the guy chose you over his current girlfriend then there were probably some issues in the relationship to begin with. Also, if he simply just went with you for a quick fuck then I guess you reap what you sow.
Well this guy sounds great, not! He just might dump you for the next one. Seems like his thing. And the spoiling part is so weird. Like he can't get you without doing it. So is he buying your "love"? Which very well seems so. People throw around the word "love" all the time.

As for your boyfriend, he seems sure that his previous relationship wasn't worth it, maybe he is right about that. Perhaps you should ask him more about his previous relationship and why it became one not worth keeping.
Funny. When my ex girlfriend broke up with me she immediately started seeing a guy she met at her new job. We are the rocks about a few things but I can’t help wonder if she slept with him BEFORE she broke up with me. I never got it confirmed but I’m pretty sure there was a 95% chance she did that and it was disgusting bullshit.
