Okay so this girl and I dated for 5 years, we broke up almost 4 months ago, it was a very respectful and amicable breakup. We were in no contact for 2 of those months untill she sent me a letter in September saying how I did nothing wrong and she wished things didn't have to change so soon and she feels like she's needed to experience being single for real for a while (she never really went more than a few weeks between relationships in the past, I was her longest and most serious). We met a week ago and I said I'd like to try again sometime and she said she wasn't closed to the idea of trying a relationship again but she needed to figure out a few things for next year, she asked me "what would you say oof I asked you to be my boyfriend right now" and I said I'd say no because I want to take things slow and make sure it's the right decision and she agreed. We spent the rest of the meeting just chatting and laughing and she wanted to show me some videos on her phone afterwards but I had to go and write an exam so I said I couldnt. She messaged me that night saying it was nice to see and chat to me and she's glad were on the same page, we've been sending a message every day to each other and she's been telling me about her pets and I've said that I want to hear all about her vacation when she gets back next week and she said "definitely". She also recently added me to her "close friends" on instagram and I can't believe we went from not talking for 2 months to all of this sudden communication and interaction and I'm afraid I'm reading the signs wrong. Do you think she really does want to try again, how should I be reacting to all of this and how can I get the ball rolling towards a reconciliation? I've been a little flirty with her and I'm making sure to take my time when responding because she did say she's quite busy at the moment and will probably take her time as well.
