My boyfriend's followers count in instagram increased from 300 to 1300 overnight. How's it possible?

When I asked he told me he don't have any idea, how's it possible? I'm pretty sure overnight noone can gain so many followers (1000). Is he lying to me that he doens't have any idea.

It does seem like a lot, but I just joined the other day and right away got a bunch of followers, and why I have no idea because I literally have NOTHING. No posts, pics, nothing, but they are still coming? LOL So my guess is it's a combination of just new ones following him and him requesting some maybe? But regardless how, it means nothing.

Maybe he paid for followers but 1300 isn't that much. I know a bunch of people who have more and they're not famous at all.

It's been possible for ages, same with Twitter, you basically either use a site that uses the funds to give other real users money for following or to rifle bot profiles in, with more money you can even get them to reply and like posts

Yeah that's exactly right. Relationships are generally built on lies. We lie either through words or actions in order to win someone over, I see no reason why that wouldn't continue.

It's one of the reasons people complain about their partners "changing" years later and causing a break up. They didn't change, they just stopped pretending.
