I don't think it's realistic for people to not want to be judged. Nobody likes it, but you can't stop people from having opinions. Total acceptance and unconditional support in all situations borders on naive and insecure. I've seen anons lash out at others for being challenged or disagreed with, and that's pretty pathetic.
I'm not speaking of direct condemnations which insult and antagonize, but rather the quieter, internal opinions of others, and the civil disagreements. No one owns another's thoughts, and no one should think they can avoid differences of opinion.

But otoh, people seem to be less accepting, and less open-minded nowadays. And then you've got cancel culture, outrage culture, etc. Which also isn't right.

Many people are too sensitive. But many point fingers and shout "snowflake!" when in fact it is the antagonizer who is to blame for their lack of civility.

One of the benefits of youth is supposed to be open-mindedness and not being staunch or set in their ways. But I see quite the opposite out there (online.) And people like that lose a whole lot of their appeal. Especially when they so unabashedly voice their ageism, sexism, racism, etc and how in their early 20s they are da bomb. You're not. You still have a lot to learn and your body can only get you so far. People don't want to be around people who condemn others and are judgey. Doesn't matter how hot you think you are.

So yeah, there's a lot of components to this, but being judgmental is just one branch of the tree.

At the end of the day.. What matters more? What others think of you "especially" people that don't even really know you? Or what you think of yourself... To me it's not letting others judgement mean more than your own judgement.. And trust me when I say I'm harder on myself than anyone else ever could be

Yes it’s true. It follows the saying that he who exalts himself will be humbled and he who humbled himself will be exalted, the exception being if the humble person is a liar, in which case there is no exaltation, any time you judge somebody else, you are suggesting you are better than that person and God does not always forgive unnecessary and unprovoked hostility towards others.

As Hispanic said this verse is too often abused by people who want to shield themselves from any critique and continue in wrongdoing or sin. We are not to judge like hypocrites nor jump to conclusions on people, but Jesus later also reprimands two men who wants a dispute settled between them by Him. "Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life."
    -1 Corinthians 6:3

And also: "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?"
    -1 Corinthians 5:12
No, don't judge people's hearts as if to condemn them, but we are to judge actions and call out sin and immorality. This is most important within the Church between believers. "So watch yourselves. "If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them."
    -Luke 17:3

It's important to read the whole Bible and all its contexts and not just read to the point where you feel comfortable.

When Jesus said "Judge not, lest ye be judged" he did not mean that we should be blind to recognizing sin either in ourselves or others. Indeed, we must always recognize sin in ourselves if we hope to improve our lives. And we should recognize the weaknesses in others in hopes that we can help them to confront and challenge their sins. As Christians, I don't think that we have an obligation to ignore sins of others and bring them into our lives if that would be counterproductive for us. But we can still offer them our assistance to challenge the sins within themselves, rather than condemning them to eternal damnation. I think THAT is the judgment from which we must abstain.

Yes technology has taken over & other things
People can be so judgmental that they to will be judged
Some people need to stop being ignorant & realize how do you want to be treated?
Regardless if it's judging, caring for someone, anything, it's just facts ✌️

Yes they have. I find the general public or average person do you have a very unbalanced view of their world around them. I wouldn’t called it narcissistic per say but more of pollyannaish view when it comes to their feelings and thoughts while simultaneously discrediting everybody else’s feelings and thoughts that may be different from their view. Instead of truly processing both their views and someone else’s views in contrast

I haven't. What annoys me is when some one calls me "judgmental" because I offered an opinion. So if I say " you don't look good in that dress", that's an opinion. If I say
" You must be a whore to wear that dress", that's a judgment.

Yes, it is easy to sit in judgement especially with the internet. People put things on Twitter that are false or inflammatory all the time. Even when it turns out they are wrong there is never an apology.

"Judge not lest ye be judged" is one of God's commands to man. Jesus further expands upon this when he goes to help out a prostitute. The religious leaders of the time told Jesus not to help because she was a sinner. Jesus told them that the one among them who are blameless should be the first to cast the stone. None could. However, Jesus later tells his disciples to warn people when they are sinning. It is a Christian's duty to remind others when they are sinning without casting judgement. This means you bring up the fact that they are committing a sin but you do not hold it against them. Also, this saying does not apply to judges of the law, for that is their appointed duty.

Judging is absolutely legit. As long as you're ready to be judged yourself.

yes they have the LGTBQ think it means dont judge me until you judge what your doing , that is the brain dead attitude of these poor people. in fact a lot of people get it wrng and only use part f the verse to justify there cause/way of life. i mean Metallica has a verse in a song called holier than thou they took it out of context just to make a verse for a popular song.

Oh yes. People have definitely forgotten this, especially the religious people who preached this in the first place

You forgot the context. Jesus is teaching about hypocritical judgment.

I’ve quoted that many times on here and virtually all claim the Bible is hogwash as well as God

The standard by which you judge people, is the standard they will use to judge you

You can judge but you’ll be judged by the same rules. We judge people all the time. We judge criminals all the time but we don’t commit crimes also.

There's also one that says, "If we judge ourselves, we will not be judged." Don't confuse liberty with libertine.

Who said this ever think it was more about seeing people in here being so judgmental towards others? Nothing wrong with my confidence cuz I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks about me, especially internet strangers that don't even know me, but gee thanks for the advice anyways😊

Any of it... People worry to much about what others are doing and don't worry enough about what they doing, and they do hypocritical, double standards with it

It is why we must take the plank out of our eye first. In order to help others from sin, we have to deal with ours first. Usually, those who manage that can lead others in a very loving way.
