Guys, Should I be bothered by this? Or am I overthinking things?

My ex and I rekindled things a few months after a year apart. We are currently doing long distance. He has many girl friends and his best friend is also a girl (many years of friendship). I know her personally and she is a very sweet person.

Recently I called him in the evening and he didn't pick up. He then texts me 45mins later saying 'Sorry I was on the phone with her' (his girl best friend) and then called me. I am not sure if I should say anything about this, mainly because he took so long to reply and because it was late hours. Should I be okay with this? Really want to hear a guy's pov

It probably takes more trust or whatever, for someone you love, to have a best friend who is of the opposite sex. I'm sure that is too much for some, perhaps for many people. I'm married, and I do have a couple of good female friends, especially one, but we both have not allowed sex to become part of the friendship. I'm sure it would ruin the friendship if sex was involved, and probably ruin the relationship with my wife as well. Besides being wrong, it would not be worth the price.

Well, either he REALLY loves you, getting BACK with you while having MANY women in his life he could be dating instead, or he has an ulterior motive and is keeping you around.

Haha yes, I know. Tbh being with a guy who's surrounded by women isn't easy, but he's always keeping me aware which I appreciate but at times it bothers me, but I don't want him to know that or should he? lool. I mean he's always been up for the relationship, it was me who ended things due to religious reasons.

Well, if he's keeping you up to date about all the women in his life, then I say you have nothing to worry about and should be grateful for that. Perhaps it can work out after all. If it strongly bothers you, voice it to him, though. Relationships are all about communication.

Nope, he called me 45 mins later. So I'm assuming they were on the phone throughout that time since he texted saying he was on the phone with her.
