No definitely not. There are some claims that men are designed to spread their seed as much as possible. Which is such a lie. Men are designed to spread their seed to one women, create a family and then provide for that family. Itd be impossible for a guy to provide to even 5+ families if he just really thought spreading his seed everywhere was the right thing to do. Like have you ever watched the show sister wives? That right there is enough to prove that having multiple child with multiple women and trying to be there for everyone is damn near impossible.

From a bilogical standpoint, marriage and serious relationships are limiting. In the animal kingdom, the more mates, the more he is actually bilogically successful. If he sires 100 children, his pronounced DNA will go on for thousands of generations.

I'd say on a subconscious level yes being in a monogamous relationship is a social construct.

Genetically the male drive is to spread there seed to as many sexual partners as possible, without the social construct of relationship and marriage men would be more likely to sleep with a woman till he knocks her up then move on.

Women don't typically have the same drive subconsciously they are looking for the best male specimen to provide good genetic material and because all they need is one source for that material makes them more likely to be monogamous.

I wouldn't say hardwired. But, tempted and likely because society tells them to play the field before settling down to marry. That only creates a thirst while married if one doesn't have self-control. They miss the attention, their ego stroke, variety of sex and different personalities of women. Plus, it's acceptable by society in ways to have a side chick.

Women cheat as well. If a woman cheats, on average, her husband or boyfriend will not forgive her. But, if a man cheats, a woman is more forgiven, want to go marriage counseling, etc. She'll only be quick to divorce if a child is involved. There's no return for her if that happens.

I call it a “fast like.” You go in, you have sex. What’s that like for the average person? 30-45 minutes of fun. You may cuddle afterwards, but it doesn’t mean anything. Now, you have all that guilt to deal with for 23 hours and 15-30 minutes.

Unless, you’re a real dirtbag and have rationalized what you’re doing is ok because of such and such.

I do believe that if a guy really and truly likes or loves the woman he’s with, and is happy in the relationship, he won’t cheat because SHE will be enough for him and the only one who can satisfy him.
