I have researched covid and the vaccine for over a year now, and have come to the conclusion that the vaccine is bad.

He on the other hand hasn't researched like I have, and says he is getting it because he believes it is the "right thing to do", and refuses to listen to my knowledge on the subject.

I feel so betrayed, can our relationship be saved?

I'm going to try and answer this without commenting on your position regarding the vaccine, and his "my body, my choice" position (as I disagree with both).

Your boyfriend got the vaccine because he believes in it, despite your opinions. In a relationship, there are always opinions in which you both will disagree. I think your reaction may be uncalled for because it suggests that you are willing to leave him if he ever goes against your opinion. Will you also leave him if he maybe gets a hobby you don't like, or starts eating food you hate or think is unhealthy (or doesn't stop eating it)?
If you demand he bow to your opinions, do you offer him the same courtesy by bowing to some of his own opinions? Are you angry that he got the vaccine, or that he didn't tell you?

I do believe that he should have talked with you about his decision to get the vaccine, if only to inform you. Your opinions, as his partner, deserve to be heard out and considered on the same level as his (you should also offer him the same courtesy Vis-à-vis his opinions). If they fail to convince him, then you have to try compromise, an equivalent exchange, or simply agree to disagree. Maintaining the status quo would have also been an option in a different case, but this deals with an issue of personal health/safety that you both disagree on. Communication is extremely important in relationships, and he is wrong to have taken this decision without talking to you, especially if you both discussed the vaccine in the past. This is because he has now taken an action that he knew would upset you, and didn't give you a final chance to talk; which in turn looks like he set out to hurt you on purpose. That is unacceptable.

If you are just mad he got the vaccine despite your lack of faith in it. All I can say is that I get you are concerned for his safety based on the research you did. But you may want to consider that while he didn't do as much research as you, what little he did do was enough to convince him that getting the vaccine was safer than not getting it. He is respecting your opinion to not get the vaccine for yourself (instead of pressuring you to get it), so you should respect his opinion that it is safe i. e. agree to disagree (since him getting it does not endanger you or others you care about).

Her own research tells her that the vaccine is bad. The research he , and many other people (including myself) looked at, is very convincing that the vaccine is the key to preventing millions of deaths from covid. In the face of people's refusal to self-isolate (and even something as simple as wear a mask outside), and governments' reluctance to strictly enforce lockdowns, vaccines are the best option to preserve lives.

@Lliam In the end, we believe what we want to believe. Some people believe that the world is flat, and reject the evidence to the contrary. I think everyone is free to believe what they want to believe as long as it doesn't make them hurt other innocent people. If OP is mad at her boyfriend for thinking her research is fake news when she thinks it's his information that's fake, that's a difference of opinion on a similar (though smaller) level to religious, political, social differences in opinion. Couples can live happily despite those differences (I speak from experience). But if one or the other is going to insist that their partner drop what they believe, there is no hope for the relationship. Because no one drops their beliefs just because someone told them to. And subconsciously, many of us look for information that reinforces our beliefs, not disproves them. Fake news becomes whatever is the most inconvenient news.

My point here isn't really to discuss what constitutes real or fake news (especially in regards to the vaccine). There are lots of people on here (and outside your door) who are more than eager to argue about this. I personally think it's as pointless an argument as hardcore Christians trying to convert a hardcore Atheists.

There are two points I'd like to address, Aethereal.
One is the idea of believing what one "wants" to believe. What about letting go of wishes, phobias and ideology and letting actual evidence guide you to developing informed opinions that continue to evolve as more information becomes available?

As it is, manufactured consensus has convinced people to "believe" the official covid narrative, to the point where they consciously avoid any information that conflicts with the beliefs that have been implanted in their psyches. Consequently, there is credible, scientific information that they have never assessed for themselves. Yet they react like religious zealots when anyone cites information that goes against their "beliefs". They are like people who were raised to believe in Creationism being confronted by geological science, paleontology or genetics. Cognitive dissonance makes it impossible for them to consider actual facts and evidence.

Second, the issue with the jab isn't merely a matter of disagreement. People can agree to disagree on any number of subjects. But there's a great deal of evidence that the jab is actually dangerous for those who receive it. There is also evidence that those who receive the jab can be a danger to those who don't. So it becomes a matter of personal safety, not merely difference of opinion.

I realize that the true believers have been taught to reject such evidence as crazy conspiracy theory. But evidence is evidence. And I'm talking about the findings of top experts in their fields from around the world, the experiences of medical practitioners, anecdotal evidence, and mounting evidence based on statistical research.

How can the government and media talk about "the science" when scientists and their research and findings are banned, blocked, censored and threatened? That's a mockery of science.

Look, I agree with you about the vaccine.
But I think it comes down to five questions.

Can you live with the fact that he is naive?
(We have all been naive about something)

Can you live with the fact that he doesn't always listen to you even when you know better? (We have all been guilty of this too)

Can you live with the fact that he trusts CNN and the government more than he trusts you? (I used to trust them, a lot of us did, but it's getting pretty obvious by now so... I don't know)

Is he willing to talk about it now, and make better decisions in the future? (He will probably be fine)

For me, it would probably be a deal breaker, but not because of the vaccine. My mom and dad got it and it didn't change my opinions of either of them... I already knew they were sheep who didn't listen to a word I said. They aren't going to have any more kids... So chances are it won't hurt them.

If it was someone I was dating, it would be different though. It's not that having the shot would be a problem for me. (I am concerned that it's not just a vaccine but, truthfully it's not likely to be mind control or a hidden camera. If anything it was designed to cause reproductive problems, and so far they have mostly been seen in women) it has kill thousand of people and given many more strange side effects, but most of those show up pretty quickly.

My concern would be that they just wern't the right person to spend my life with. I'm not one to just do what I'm told without thinking about it for myself, and I wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't care about my opinions. I also would be concerned that they just didn't have a lot of higher level thinking going on.

But it would depend on a lot of things. Mostly, if they were willing to talk about it at least afterwords and how that went. If I hadn't felt like something wasn't right from day one I probably wouldn't have thought much of it. I always got the flu shot so... I might have thought "Sure why not." And just went and got it.

It's possible he just didn't think much about it and didn't think to talk to you about it first. But, if you had tried to show him the facts and he didn't listen, I would say you should be more worried about if he is the right guy overall than the vaccine.

It's one thing to not know better, but it's another thing to ignore your significant other even when they actually do know better. That would be a big concern if it was someone I was considering buying a house or sharing a bank account with.

I would try to talk to him. See if he will listen to your opinions and research and agree to talk to you in advance next time. If it goes well, it's really just a matter of if he gets side effects and/or has reproductive problems in the future. (But so far it's mostly women who have reproductive problems)

I personally don't want kids, so I would be fine with my girlfriend having the vaccine, just not with my girlfriend refusing to communicate or listen to reason. We all do dumb things, what matters is how we learn from them.

It's normal to trust an "expert" over a "friend" and there is so much propaganda even actual scientists have had their own family's ignore their warnings and think they are crazy.

See if he will listen to the man who actually invented mRNA vaccines talking about how dangerous they are.

It's a tough issue. Especially with the way they are trying to stick it to anyone who doesn't get it.

My recommendation is to try to talk to him. The shot probably isn't a huge deal unless he is unlikely enough to have bad side effects from it. But, this could be a sign that he just isn't a great candidate moving forward. You'll have to feel that out for yourself.

This was me a few months ago.. my man was like a tree that the wind blew.. I did the same and wanted him to not take it.. his mom wanted him to take it. He ended up taking it. Take your vitamins especially zinc.. you will get horrible headaches just tell him your going for a walk.. have teas on your deck if you want to make it work way I look at it the amount of people that have had the shot (s) shedding is near impossible to avoid so I will stick by his side and hopefully he will beat it if not than I will try and make his death as comfortable as possible.. You are right that Robert Malone didn't invent the Covid Vaccines. But he was undoubtedly an active and pivotal part of the breakthrough that made mRNA vaccines possible. (As you state, he even has many related parents in his own name, when usually they would be in the name of the company who funded the research)

These fact checking websites are really handy to you eh? Except they misrepresent the counter argument, strawman and such. No one is saying they didn't undergo clinical trials. The main ones are all in clinical trials until 2023. Dr Sam Bailey has a video on her channel about the clinical trials process and why phase 3 trials are usually 5 to 10 years (some side effects make themselves known in the fullness of time, and long term trials also help reveal anything potentially unforeseen). Human beings are fallible. The state of play at the moment and the appeals to authority are very worrying. As soon as you say with any certainty 'we know this', that should ring alarm bells.

I think you need to call it quits with that numbskull. First, he doesn't respect your informed opinions, which means that he doesn't respect you. He basically chose the jab over you.

Second, he's going to transfer spike proteins, graphene oxide, and/or whatever is in his body to you. Graphene oxide is highly carcinogenic and is transferred via inhalation. It is known that many people who get the jab become infertile and can make their partners infertile. Some women who come in contact with "the jabbed" suffer blood clots and abnormal menstrual bleeding. Those are just a few of many concerns.

@JackSmy, I've consumed volumes of material from some of the best of scientific sources. The problem is, there is a concerted campaign to silence any information that conflicts with the official narrative. And the official narrative is about selling the jab. Period. It's not about science and it's not about human health. There are plenty of medical studies by top global experts, but, getting them published in "peer-reviewed journals" is difficult when those journals are controlled by the money that is behind the official narrative.

Honest, scrupulous scientists who have nothing to gain by either lying or by challenging the official narrative, are censored, blocked, banned, threatened, and even lose their jobs by daring to tell the truth. Why would they do that if they weren't convinced that the public was being harmed or in danger? They just feel compelled to speak truthfully for the sake of people's health and safety.

And since when were scientists and medical professionals treated that way for merely sharing their findings? Doesn't that, alone, make you suspicious.

I have to say that that the only people who are being corrupted are those who believe mainstream media and corrupted organizations like the WHO, CDC, FDA, and organizations that are funded by the Gates Foundation. Follow the money. To claim catagorically that everything else is blatantly untrue is kind of a cracks up. How can you be so sure? Manufactured consensus?

On Sunday August 1st, H Scott Apley was admitted to UTMB Galveston with pneumonia-like symptoms and tested positive for COVID. He is currently there and using a ventilator and sedated. Since then his wife, Melissa Apley, has also tested positive, but she has not been hospitalized. As you know, they have a very young infant, Reid, who is under the care of Melissa's mother. Although at this point the only thing we can do is to pray and wait, they will be expecting quite a bit of medical bills from this. This Go Fund Me is set up for any expenses that will incur until they are in the clear. If you have the ability, please donate what you can. I am very saddened to report that H Scott Apley passed away last night at about 3 am. He leaves behind his wife, Melissa, who is COVID positive, as well as their infant son Reid. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help the family as they get through this difficult period.
