+1 yDepends.
If we are serious, did it till we moved in together.
I was in LDR for 4 years. 9 hr. drive and 1 hr. flight.
We just moved in together 3 months ago. Getting settled down then get married.
My sister married her LD. Was 6 hr. flight for 2 years. Married, still lived apart for a yr. He is moving here next month.
Everyone is diff. and every situation is diff.
A few must haves... love, money, time.
Distance doesn't break truth love.
My greatgrand parents were apart for 2 years. right after they got married. Only communication was letters. Their marriage last a life time.
If you have the right partner... all will work out. Think about that.. first.21 Reply- +1 y
Thanks for MHO
Aside from love, money, time. Also must haves are…dedication, devotion, commitment, trust, honesty, kindness… etc.
good luck to you if you are in a LDR

+1 yI did with an ex for 2 years. They lived 10 hours away from me. It was nice to get out of state and visit a different state you are not used to. My ex and I would plan on vacations and meet each other there. That was nice too. My ex is in the military and had to move to Germany two years ago. We broke up when I saw his relationship status changed to a different girl than me. I was really heartbroken and upset since I spent money and effort in the relationship. I will never date long-distance ever again!

But I am willing to make the compromise of moving to the end of the earth to be with my partner.
Of course sometimes that's not possible in which cases I guess we have to end things like adults and accept that life doesn't always work out the way we want10 Reply

My current boyfriend is in the Navy and just moved to Japan, I live in California. I haven't gone to visit yet but once they open their borders I'll be visiting probably will only be a once every year thing.
But long distance sucks! Normally I wouldn't travel over 2 hours.20 Reply- 3.9K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yI've dated outside of the city/state/country plenty of times. But im so over that. I prob wouldn't go outside the south at this point. I have no intentions of moving up north nor west so whoever I date needs to at least be in a southern state that i can tolerate

+1 yI know some people will not like my answer but I won't leave the place I have set up my life or have my job just to be with my long distance partner, Miss.
Although if it's for a holiday or few days I can go anywhere to meet them, just not stay there forever.10 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yDid it for several months with a spouse. Nearly ended my marriage. Would never do it again. It's foolish. There are plenty of people nearby.

+1 yThe furthest I'd go for someone is like 6 hours (about as far as I can drive) I wouldn't risk it on anyone out of the country I have a fragile heart lol.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt really depends on the situation. I think 5 hours flight will be my max just because it would otherwise be impossible to meet each other regularly.
