And I will be honest with you too when I was married and I knew for a fact it was over it was done but I kept trying to talk myself into staying and I didn't want to stay and there was one day I was talking with this girl at work she wanted to go out and I told her I couldn't I was married I started to tell her but I'm happily married and I'm going to walk out the door and pretty soon something told me not to say that. Can I think it was 2 Days Later I walked into the house I walked into the bedroom I walked back out of the bedroom and I grabbed off the back of the couch because she had done laundry two pair of underwear two pair of socks couple T-shirts and I walked out the door Richard said where you going I said I'm I'm down I'm sorry I can't do it no more and for three years she made my life a living hell every single day and one day I get a phone call and it's my ex-wife and she says I just want to let you know I found the guy that I'm going to marry and he just proposed to me I and with the biggest smile on my face I said great congratulations and she says do you want to talk to him and I said no and I could hear him say no and she said yes you need to talk to him because she's going to be the step dad of her kids and I said I'll talk to him someday and she said something to him and all the sudden I hear his voice anxious hello and I kind of laughed a little bit I said huh I said hey congratulations and I said thank you very much and he said for what I said for marrying her he said oh yeah I said bro I'm so happy right now if I was gay I would give you a blowjob and we both started laughing and because why and I said no reason I just said thank you bro thank you very much you just made my life she gets that back on the phone she said what were you guys laughing about I said he'll tell you later I got to go bye00 Reply
+1 yAt the end of 1984, Winston is being tortured by the state for being a deviant, essentially, and he stated to his torturer that there is one thing that he hasn't betrayed. He hadn't betrayed his lover. At the end of the torture, his torturer brought out the thing that he feared most, a cage of hungry rats. As that cage got closer and closer to his face, he finally blurted out "Do it to Julia, don't do it to me!" The cart shuffled off, the door was closed, and presumably Winston was left to go on his merry way.
We next see him some months in the future, and he finally catches up with Julia, and neither are very happy to see each other, almost as if the romance had been completely sucked out of each other. Julia has a small scar on her face, and she says the she betrayed him, and he responds in kind. They part, presumably never seeing each other again after that.
Now, 1984 is a bit of a mind screwy book because a lot of what is claimed to be true in the book isn't confirmed to be true, nor does it actually matter. The same is true when Winston betrayed Julia. Did anything ever actually happen to her? We don't know, but the important part is that Winston betrayed her at the very end, succeeding in breaking him, and that's what truly matters.
The same is true with cheating on your significant other, and only you being the wiser. You know what you did, and that's what matters. If you care about the other person at all, that would tear you up inside.
And if you're the type of person that isn't torn up inside at the thought of doing that... why are you in a relationship in the first place?00 ReplyMy answer is like 98% that I would not do it. For me the problem is the disrespect of cheating. The fact your partner is hooking up with other people sucks from an emotional standpoint, but the real issue is respect. Whatever else is going on; you have to feel like you are your partner's primary concern, (or one of the primary concerns, at least).
The only way I would even consider cheating is in a really specific situation. For me to consider it, all 4 of these things would need to happen: (1) the other woman has to be someone I had past encounters with before my relationship with my wife that never resulted in sex, but we both always wondered what it would be like to have sex; (2) there was absolutely no chance that there would be another encounter, so it's a one time deal; (3) there's 100% trust in my relationship with my wife and we know that regardless of what the other does, we're both still committed and loyal to the relationship; and (4) that there's no chance of any kind of STDs or pregnancies, or anything like that.
Again, I need ALL 4 of those to be true to even consider the possibility and the main chick STILL has to be the one calling the shots. If she has any doubts about whether she's the priority, then me stepping out for a one time deal is hugely disrespectful.00 Reply

I've opend ure eyes in what way
I have and did and was not I was not a good husband and am not proud and its not about being caught how ever your worse if you dont as then you are adept at it and seen as more sneaky or decietful. I had an affair for 7 years and was cheating on her also and we were having 3 somes and very experimental fun so why did I do it... not sure I am very sexual and engaged in the wrong way not for sex for making life, people and my days more interesting. I never took it for Granted and never really asked how I was so very lucky that many people disliked me mostly men. One Dutch girls said we can tell you just love woman and for all the good reasons. I STOPPED ENGAING WOMAN AT ALL AFTER I SPLIT AS I BELIEVED I DID NOT REALISE I WAS PERHAPS USING A SKILL THAT I NEVER KNEW WAS REAL THIS BEING A FORM OF MAGIC AS WE CHOSE LETTERS AND COMBINE THEM TO ENGAGE ANOTHER ITS CALLED SPELLING AND IT IS VERY POWERFUL AND I DO NOT LIKE TO THINK I WAS BEING MANIPULATING THAT IS NOT HOW I ROLL... OR IS IT.
00 ReplyI'm sure that there are more people than not, who would cheat if they knew without a doubt (100%) that they would not get caught. However, even though I'm 99.999% sure that if I really wanted to cheat, I could get away with it... I just feel that in reality I would just be cheating on myself, along with my marriage and wife.
I like to pride myself in what makes me attractive to women is that I am loyal and faithful to my wife. That's like a huge catch-22, since if I ever tried to use it to cheat with... it would be gone. I can live with that and just be with my wife.00 Reply- 1K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yThere’s people cheating knowing damn well they’re gonna get caught. It’s never a deterrent.
I’ve only cheated in my English classes though. As for cheating people, I’ll just dump their asses. I don’t see the point in wasting time if I’m already agreeing to cheat in the first place.10 Reply No!
Why would any moron go into a relationship of having the intention to cheat?
Just be honest from the start say I wanna stay as friends.
She can take or leave it.
I had a a attractive female roommate. And she always talked about relationship.
Once day one thing to another we slept together.
I told her I don’t want relationships.
We kept having sex and the same lifestyle I finally moved out for my place and she’s married now.
Or I could’ve lied to her and say yes I want a relationship in hopes I’d lose her.
But I’m not a coward I’d never do that.
Relationship should only be because you two are hoping to get married00 Reply- 623 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yI don't think so no, the consequences of cheating go far beyond just your partner finding out, cheating itself is a whole can of worms that has negative mental and emotional effects on a person and can negatively change them forever.
If you cheat, you cheat on yourself more than on your partner, you broke your own rules, you fell into weakness and gave in to temptation, your moral compass was broken and you were led astray from your standards just because of some chemicals controlling your brain telling you to do dumb shit.
If you really wanna do it, break up with your partner on the phone before you do it, you'd be causing less general mental and emotional harm to yourself and your now-ex-partner.00 Reply
+1 yNo way, because i wouldn't be able to sleep at night near my future housewife knowing how much she loves and cares about me while i'm cheating on her, no way i live with such pain!
By the way why woyld i cheat in case i'm married? Since i can have sex with my wife anytime i want...
Also god is seeing everything which means i'm caught!
I'm a man who never cheats if i'm married or in a serious relationship...
The girl gave me her trust and a real man will never brake the trust given to him...00 Replyno because if I'm with someone is because I care and love them, why do something that I know would hurt them? people who cheat do not love their partner even if they swear up and down that they do. even if you know you won't get caught, people who truly love you cannot live knowing they did something purposely to hurt you even if you are not aware of it. that's fact. all these people claiming to love someone after they cheat are full of BS.

+1 yNo, it's a respect thing. If I was in that spot to feel like cheating then our relationship is not in the right spot. That means I would have to talk to my partner about why I am unhappy with her. If it can't be worked out then that means I would let her go. The act of betrayal is bad karma.
10 Reply4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Not if I was in love with my partner , I would only cheat if I knew I wasn’t in love with my partner and I would end the relationship pretty much right then and there , and tell her it’s over between us , what would be the point of going back to someone you don’t love and value?
00 ReplyI don't know why would a person want to cheat on their lover while being in a relationship. That's like saying you're not satisfied with the person you're in love with and you need something more. That's the problem with people these days, they are too selfish and ungrateful to have someone that nobody else can barely find in the world without the sadness and betrayal and they rather ruin it for themselves by cheating.

+1 yAlways said no… the. I was tempted… now it’s definitely a possibility. Under the right circumstances if I wasn’t treated right then yes I could see myself cheating and ide argue that most men would.
Hear me out on this guys… Think of the cutest girl with all the traits that turn you on. If you arnt tempted at all then there’s either something very wrong or very right with you. If you felt any temptation then there’s a possibility no matter how slim.00 Reply

1.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Nope. That's like asking if you would steal. Honesty is honesty - it doesn't fuck around. That's the thing, even if you want a "bad boy" you should always ask about their honesty. As if they are honest, then you know he's something that will stick by you - provided you are honest of course.
A lot of gangsters and warlords are killers and mad as hell. But they will almost always be honest in their dealings and stick by their mothers and their women.00 ReplyNo, I have zero interest in sex with someone I'm not actually in love with. I have only one partner. I am a paired wolf not a jackrabbit. And I would get caught because I believe in The Lord. Honor, Virtue, Integrity, Strength Of Character, Honesty, Loyalty, these are the traits that differentiate the men from the boys.

+1 yIf you go into a committed relationship with those thoughts you might as well not commit at all. There's too many people out here that want their cake and eat then cry wolf when the tables are turned or ends up getting found out. Have a open relationship if you must...
On the other hand be upfront00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. No I was a player once and honestly if I could I tell myself to not go down that road. However I do not regret my past, I have accepted and have move on thankfully to be a better person overall. I have learn that their is never 100% of anything and eventually you will suffer the consequences of your actions even if it’s not from the person you did wrong in first place.
00 ReplyNo it's just not something I'd ever want to do to someone. I had opportunities to during my marriage but I still wasn't tempted, even towards the end of the marriage when things were getting bad I wouldn't have done it.

Same! Physically we crave sex, and if we haven’t gotten any, our hormones demand it! However, our souls demand intimacy and bonding which cheating cannot provide
Hmmm. I'd like to think I wouldn't. But I've done bad things before. Who's to say given the right circumstances, I wouldn't do that?
I want to say no. I probably could cheat if I knew I'd never get caught.20 ReplyI think most people would. You lot are full of shit.
51 ReplyNo. I’d be a coward. I have morals and values and I know my self worth. I’m not gonna cheat on him regardless if I’m happy with him or not. If I’m not happy in the relationship I’d rather just end things right then and there.
20 ReplyI've done it before and I felt so bad after, I broke up with the guy a week later and I didn't tell him because i didn't want to hurt him but I couldn't keep dating him with that guilt.
+1 yI’d feel better about it, because I’d never want to hurt my wife’s feelings. But cheating still doesn’t satisfy the need for emotional attachment and spiritual connection that we seek. It will never properly fill the void that drives us to consider cheating in the first place. In fact it can actually create a larger one.
00 ReplyI would love to know the results if the question were “would you remain faithful knowing you would never get caught cheating”? I bet a lot of people enjoy the thrill of playing the “catch me if you can” game as much as the thrill of cheating
00 ReplyNo, I've been cheated on by a guy who thought he'd never get caught (he was wrong.) I wouldn't even think of putting a guy though that.

This is an interesting point of view. However, if your girlfriend believes in love and commitment, and after cheating you go back to her reciting Nietzsche, the least you can expect is a punch in your face.

@juan_curious Lol good thing I practice MMA then. And P. S. I'm 24 and I've never been involved in a committed relationship, hell I've never dated anyone longer than a few weeks. And bro I'd really consider myself a good person who values kindness, mutual respect, basic human dignity. This is just where we are at in 2021 with the internet, consumer culture, the media, and society. It's an incredibly lonely, touch deprived, hyper-Individualistic world.
- +1 y
@KingofCups (cool name by the way 😊) is correct. If you’re not involved in a committed relationship it’s not cheating. People can and do choose to do the hookup thing.

@gwenhwyfar Hey thanks Gwen, The King of Cups comes from the Tarot Tradition, He represents mastery over the realms of Emotions, Intuition, Creativity, and the Unconscious. Tbh I really value EQ and building authentic social connections in my life. And hey maybe one day I will have a relationship in my life and we'll be really clear in the beginning about defining our expectations and boundaries.
