My friend puts me down to make herself feel better and steals my boyfriends?

Before you say she’s toxic, I know she’s toxic. But I don’t know how to stop being her friend since we’re in the same “group.” She makes negative comments about my appearance and mental health. Every time a guy likes me she suggests he’s just using me or has an ulterior motive, and my last two boyfriends she’s gone behind my back to steal them from me all while encouraging me to break up with them and that they didn’t actually like me.

I’ve had enough of her. Should I just confront her or cut her off without saying anything? What would you do?

A friend is supposed to be someone that you feel good being around, and if you are unable to feel this way around this particular friend, then less time spent with this friend, and more time spent with a friend that will make you feel better about yourself, would be advisable.

Yes, at first you might be confused about whether or not you did the right thing but then you realize that jeopardizing your inner peace over keeping the peace with someone else just isn’t worth it. You come first and nobody else. Suddenly you start to focus on yourself and whatever loose ends you might of had you begging to tie them up and your vision starts to clear... you see everything for what it is. Suddenly you know the feeling of sticking up for yourself and the idea of tolerating disrespect will no longer be an option because you’ll know better. Anyone who hurts you isn’t someone who cares about you. You only have yourself, if you don’t stick up for yourself... nobody will.
