Why would guy expect girl he's seeing to be exclusive but when he introduces her, he calls her a good friend

Yes being exclusive is the same as being in a relationship. If a guy you consider your "boyfriend" just introduced you as a "good friend"... you've got yourself a legitimate beef.

Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that the guy's actual commitment to you or feelings for you are waivering. (Which I would imagine is going to be how you'd initially interpret this).

There are many stupid reasons that I can imagine some guys having some stupid-ass reason for hesitating to say "girlfriend" in some particular situation.

I don't think he will give you a GOOD reason he said "good friend"... but he might give you a reason he didn't SAY girlfriend, althugh he does want it to be "girlfriend".

Of course, depending on the guy, maybe he is having committment issues/confusion.

But yea. You're right.

You need to have a conversation and get this straightened out. He fucked up, and must know it. Now... why? and what does it mean? Only he can tell you.
