How To Tell A Guy You're Accidentally Pregnant? Should You Tell Him At All?

So I've recently found out I'm pregnant from this guy I've recently started daiting. My birth control failed. My mistakes aside, I'm not sure what I plan to do with the pregnancy but I think the father deserves to know.

Thing is I'm not sure how to tell him. He mentioned wanting a child and did say on our first date he would want to keep it and be a father but that was a bit ago. His plans have changed. He's planning to go into the Marines in a year so I doubt a child is something he'd even want right now.

I think when I tell him, I want to invite him to meet up with me so we can discuss everything in person. Know where each other stands and what's the ultimate decision. However, I've read things that say to just terminate the pregnancy without telling the guy. To me personally this is wrong as he should be told before anything goes ahead.

I'm frightened at the moment and no one else knows. I'm not sure what to do. Before the comments come in, I know it's my fault but that not the point here.

If you know for sure he's the father, you should tell him. It's his child too and he has a right to know. I fully understand that not telling him might be the easy thing to do. But the right thing is not always the easy thing.

You just have to tell him outright. It's not something you can hint at or beat around the bush. Be prepared for any reaction. Also keep in mind that this can be a big surprise, and his initial reaction might be different from his reaction after thinking about it for a while. Give him space and time to digest it.

I remember when it happened to me. It scared the shit out of me. :P

First off he deserves to know. Second he will have a stable job for the next four years at a minimum with Govt benefits. Talk to him, he already said he'd want to be a father, either way he should know so you can choose together the best plan

Have you took the time to sit and think of your plan yet? You seem to have a good idea of the whole sit down and go over it all with him. How are you feeling about it?
Birth control fails, its not your fault fyi. Its just shit that happens.

He has the right to know this is not just your baby it is also his baby put yourself in his shoes think how you would feel if you were the guy and the girl you had sex with fell pregnant and she didn’t tell you you you’d probably be cut up and hurt

Also stop blaming yourself a pregnancy is 50/50 the guy is just as much responsible for a pregnancy as the girl so stop blaming yourself

If you are scared to tell him person you could do it via a text or give him a call and say hey I just received some news I’m scared to tell you because I don’t really know how you will feel or anything but I just found out I am pregnant

If you only took a pregnancy test one of this ones where you pee on it don’t give him the news until you have a blood test that 100% shows you are pregnant as some of the pee pregnancy test can have false positives it is rare but it has happened for some people

Tell him right away. His plans may change and he may want to keep it. People that want you to terminate it without the father's knowledge or consent are immoral people that you shouldn't listen to.
