How do you know if you’re worthy of being loved?

You can't objectively know that. Love can't be controled or capitalized. You just gotta accept the fact that some people love you, others don't, and that love may last or not last. Now, love its a feeling that may not translate in action. Example: a mom who love her son, but her son decide to join a gang. She loves him, but decides to cut any maternal relation with him; therefore she decides to not give him maternal affection, despite loving him.

I already know I'm not worthy of being loved. Women have told me. It's because I'm too short/generically inferior/biologically worthless. But mainly, it's because I'm short, but also ugly/unattractive.

I'm not worthy of being loved by another woman. Women like that (ones who would be into a man my height, with my (terrible) looks, and my snarky personality) do not exist. Knowing this makes it easier to move on in life.

And I HATE when this site hides questions from me and I get them recommended to me late as sh*t. Hence, being three days late to the party.

I don't agree that everyone is worthy of being loved. Selfish people who treat others like shit, who are incapable of loving, caring and emphasizing with others are not worthy in my opinion. I strongly believe in 'you get what you deserve' and I wish more people would.

I'm not sure what that means, to be honest. I think there are fair and unfair ways to treat others. Ideally, everyone would treat everyone else fairly. But that is all it is: an ideal. Regarding love, I suppose it requires someone to love you. And I don't know the mechanics of how that happens. My guess is it's partly genetic, if you're talking about romantic love. There is also being loved by one's family. And by friends. But I don't think you can demand that someone loves you. It is a feeling, so it depends on whether they feel that you are loveable. I do think parents owe a certain responsibility to you, since they brought you into being. But again, it is an ideal.

even my cat sacrifices minutes of her precious time, to come to me and show me all the love about three times a day for a total of 9 long minutes or so

you don't. nobody knows that about themself. people will say "oh you just have to love yourself, cause you are by default worth being loved" but that's the easy way out and only partly true. it's your job to try the best that is in your power to bring value to the life of people that are important to you. and then it's also your job to evaluate what you do for the people that are important to you and determine if it's enough and if you're getting enough back, so it's worth your while.
