Absolutely not. It's so easy to become bored of somebody. It's good while the hard times last, as soon as there's nothing interesting to experience, I'd break it off.

u +1 yDo you have probems with self-esteem? You likely will want the permanent deal when you are a few years older and you need to think of yourself as worthy for your partner.
02 Reply- +1 y
I don't.
- +1 y
I just don't like being with someone for long.
+1 yIf you really love that person, it'd be so much recommended that you both talk a lot, about range of things , emotions, past, aspirations, needs, vulnerabilities and so on and just spend enough time knowing him/her as a person and let there be a space formed where both of you can mutually make decisions and a forever deal isn't something that you can decide on your own, it becomes a forever deal with how much you evolve together as a couple everyday.
In short, ask the person to take time and so do you, know each other well and just talk a lot about the most rudimentary emotions to the most specious one and if you find comfort with each other, just continue the same without worrying about the deal, if it is meant to be, it'll be created through everyday efforts for each other.
Hopefully that helps!00 Reply
+1 yYou could. You never know what might happen in the future. You don't have to promise anything other than to see how things go. If it doesn't work out or your views haven't changed and got bored, break up.
If you're not ready you're not ready. Nobody can force you to change, but you play along for a bit. Or don't.
In my 20s, I felt the same way. As I neared my 30s I figured I had enough time to myself and my own thing and started thinking about long term things. Never figured I would marry, let alone have kids, yet I did.
Meh.00 ReplyI have always wanted one life long partner to forge a beautiful life with.. Working together, struggling together, learning together, laughing together, crying together, to hole and be held, to dedicate and be dedicated to, to protect and be protected by, through sickness and health, for better or worse, through poverty and riches, all I have ever wanted in this life was that special someone. A bond so strong that when my te came I'd be waiting for her at the gates of heaven so we could hold hands and walk through them together. I could have literally nothing else in life but this one person and I'd die fully fulfilled.
00 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. What's the point in a relationship not to last? Wouldn't that just be a waste of time?
I like knowing people to the end. Even if it's just a friend. Even if you don't want marriage and to be tied down to one person surely it would still be better for let's say a friend with benefits to still remain friends with them even though not doing things together no more.
I am one who stay friends with my ex's, i am one who don't like to know someone just to not know them it seems pointless.20 Reply- 403 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yCan wish for forever and strive for it, but cannot make it a sealed deal, no one knows what lies ahead. I cannot promise that I will be with someone no matter what happens, and I am really not sure I can be with someone who thinks like that, some really are too naïve compared to me :D. But if there is room for my feelings on the matter then maybe it can work out.

+1 yFor me, it depends on if I am ready for that type of commitment.
I honestly would ask them why me. I agree with you, I can't imagine why anyone would waste their life on me, even if it's just a friendship.10 Reply
+1 yThat's seems like a personal issue you have within yourself, you shouldn't keep changing your friends unless they did something wrong to you then that's fine but if they never did anything then that's a problem and you deserve to be happy too with someone who'll love you, I'll pray for you. ☺️

+1 yThat literally is the point lol. I was never looking for something temporary with someone. But lucky for you we live in the era of microwave happiness.
10 ReplyWell if you ask me something's wrong with you everybody wants a forever whether you find that person or not so different story but they just say I'm going to just go f*** whoever until I'm old and my vagina is dry and nobody wants me and then I'm going to be all alone that doesn't sound right
00 Reply3.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Like could I date a girl that wants marriage? Yeah, it's kind of why I date at all. Although I don't think I will date, so much as go on a date anymore. My girlfriend is my fiancé in all but name. I have said I will ask her and she has said she will say yes, but I can't ask her yet and even then we don't know if it is financially possible for us to marry. Disability laws in the US are like walking through a minefield.

And never thing that anyone is wasting his time on you, you are still someone important to someone somewhere.00 Reply
+1 yYes… I want marriage. I’m not the type who wants to date around for the rest of my life. I want someone who is committed to me for life.

Must love last forever?
- +1 y
Is it love if you're waiting for it to die?
- +1 y
Eventually everything ends
- +1 y
Yeah sure but the goal is that you die with it no? It seems very.. the idea is sad, no other word i can think of, it's sad
- +1 y
Just because it's sad doesn't mean you'll drag it around for the rest of your life 😂😂😂

+1 yThat’s the only reason I would want to be in a relationship with someone. I wouldn’t want to date someone if there wasn’t any potential that I’d be spending the rest of my life with that person.
11 Reply- +1 y
Same here. It would be a waste of my time!
+1 yYes, but it woudnt be wasting your life and you make sure that you want that with that person before committing.
