Always for everyhing. In our Indian – Hindu tradition, marriage is total submission of husband and wife to each other. Having and being a trustworthy partner is a priceless gift you can give each other, and we feel good about ourselves too. Interdependency, or being able to depend on each other, is part of what makes a marriage special and successful. Dependability is one of the top qualities people look for in a spouse, and it should be. When you make a promise to your spouse or say you will do something for your spouse or family and then you do not keep your word, you are letting your spouse down and hurting your marriage. There is a multitude of potential reasons behind this and it differs for every individual. Unfortunately some people do not know how to be honest.

Trust and supporting each other are one of the major foundations of a good marriage too, which means that being a dependable partner who always keeps his or her word can mean the difference between a successful and a struggling marriage. How can I be more emotionally supportive? - is a question I ask myself all the time. It is not easy playing the role supporting wife and managing family traditions. The reality is that he needs you just like you need him. It is overall a very emotional and stressful time, but he is my “knight in shining armor” helping me through it. There are some simple ways to support husband: Ask him what he needs, he may not always come right out and tell you what he needs help with and instead of assuming, just ask! And once you get those answers, be willing to meet his needs. Communication is most important in a marriage. Encourage him to talk to you about whatever and whenever he needs to. He should know that you are his ultimate support system. Be quiet, and truly listen. Spending time together talking something help to open up the lines of communication.

Be flexible, supporting husband may take some sacrifice, but it will bring lot more pleasure in your daily life and lovemaking. And you can always ask him to return the favor when it is your time. Push him to go to the next level in whatever is doing – his career, his hobby, or improving on some habits. Encourage him to set goals and reach them. He may not be able to see all the potential in him. So, show him what you see. Encourage him to stay focused and to see his plans through to the end.

Just like kids, he needs to hear a kind word from you every now and then; praise can really go a long way. When he feels appreciated, he is more willing to do anything! Stand with him if he meets adversity at some point. Showing a unified front with him is one of the best ways to show support. Stay by his side through thick and thin. He will be crushed if you take that away.

Yes a light hearted response. Christmas at my grandparents house, I made creme brulee so I needed to bring my blow torch to brulee the top. I was like oh I'll bring the extra butane as well just in case I run out. Boyfriend was like nah I'll be fine just fill it up as much as you can. I listened. Got around to torching the sugar and my torch ran out of butane 3/4 of the way through.

I don't believe in blindly following or supporting anyone or anything.

I'm not gonna blindly support my partner I'm always going to be blunt and honest when it comes to concerns, doubts or worries. And I'm not going to let my fondness, love or affection (whichever may apply) cloud my judgment.

Blind support while faithful is stupid it's not smart and could very well end up hurting the relationship or lead to one or both parties getting hurt because of the consequences of that blind faith and support.

In a relationship you need to think as much with your head as you do your heart.

Yes, I thought that's what was suppose to be. For better or worse, til death do us part. But that must've only been what I read. Hers read, he's always wrong, whenever you get the chance push him under the bus. I won't look back, I'm not looking back or waiting so hurry up if you wanna go.

No. I supported her many times but I had time to worry about the consequences. So I worried about the consequences. It's not I got a lucky day where my house exploded and I got to think on my feet and guide her to safety. That only happened once in our entire marriage for the Fukushima earthquake and she thought I was a psychopath because I was laughing the entire time. But that one was just an earthquake. The things I worried about were much bigger than some stupid earthquake.

I made that mistake one time until i found out that she pulled an upper decker on me. She was planning on pulling a Cleveland steamer on me but her friend tipped me off.

Nope, sure didn't. I supported her, and aided her as much as possible. But I was always honest about my opinions, doubts and worries.

As long as what they are doing isn't illegal or immoral, I've always supported my partners in their choices however difficult they might be. I've not always agreed with some of them but it's not my call to tell her she can't do something.
