My wife tears up whenever she sees someone else cry. Does this happen to you?

I have but generally if it’s about something I’m not involved in. If I’m in it i go into my shell which is the shell I built as a child to survive being hurt as I seem more sensitive. It’s something I’d like to have more available to my mate and better balance. It’s not easy being a male… trained for the next war… available emotionally for your love.
Your wife has a great capacity for empathy and though that may be somewhat embarrassing at times it's also a credit to her humanity.
Nothing wrong with that in my opinion
Emotions are not bad things. Everyones done it I call you all out. Lips have twitched. You all sniffed one back. You know you have.
Aw! Softies are the best! You keep being you.
I had five men tear up last summer. Was in a bike shop talking bikes with them, long story short. A generous offer was made to get my own bike home (in a bind) and being unexpected I burst out crying a “Thank you.” Then apologized all broken voiced. All five men looked down and turned around walking off. Not before noticing teary eyes. I said “I saw that!” And we all laughed. Sweet moment I won’t forget.
Yep. Someone else crying is sure to make me cry 99% of the time. Movies too.
My wife falls for movies every time. If I notice her dabbing her eyes during a movie, at the end I'll often say "Boy, you liked that movie a lot!" and she'll laugh. It's our little inside joke. She knows she's a sucker. But it's sweet.
I admit that stuff can get to me, too, but I do my best to hide it. LOL
My husband and kids love to check on me through the movie to see if I've started crying yet. I wouldn't be surprised if they had bets going!
Oh yeah. I embarrassed my kids at the movies watching The Odd Life of Timothy Green. Anything with kids gets my water works flowing.
Thank you for the MHO ❤

I've never cried cause I've seen someone else crying
Depends on the cause. If it's because they got dumped, or their football team lost, I might sympathize but I won't well up. But if someone lost a family member tragically then yeah.
And if I'm watching Old Yeller after a few beers...
No, not every time. Just depends on what is causing the crying.
Depends on who I see crying and what the situation is.
Only when my mom or brother is crying because they are hurt emotionally or physically
I usually tend to focus on how to solve the pain, so it really doesn't get me.
In some situations it will affect me. But mostly it doesn't make me cry
It's natural. Some people have it. Dw.
Nope
