That guy might continue claiming that women want to be lied to, but I doubt if he even believes it himself deep down. In other words, he is lying to himself. It has become pathological habit.
Lying is dishonest. It's manipulative. It's disrespectful. Who wants to be lied to and manipulated? When a person realizes that they swallowed lies, it makes them feel stupid; gullible. Is that a good feeling? Hell no.
One of the things that makes my relationship with my wife rock solid is, we can trust each other completely. We are kind and honest with each other. Love requires trust.
Dishonesty is toxic.
That guy you referred to might succeed in tricking girls in to sex. But he doesn't know women and he will never have a successful relationship. He's probably not even looking for one because he doesn't feel worthy of love and probably rejects its existence.

@TommyMountainFigure By adding the word decent it disqualifies your statement "decent" is a subjective word so essentially what you're saying is anyone who holds a different POV isn't decent therefore their POV dosen't count. That doesn't relate to the question I'm asking. When someone shares a different POV, she seems to question them, however when the same POV is shared she takes that person at face value, I'm asking why. In one scenario when your POV was challenged your response was "bet your single though" in another scenario when you POV was supported you responded w/ "if you got it you got it" My question is there's nothing to distinguish the POV's except on shares yours. No. Obviously nobody wants to be lied to! I donāt know why that one guy said itās a generational thing? Women my age donāt want to be lied to anymore than any other women do, thatās just patently ridiculous. Given that Iām dating again (well, for the first time really) in high school, a guy asked me out on a date, and we were boyfriend and girlfriend for a yr, he cheated on me, and I ended it. Then another guy asked me out, and we ended up boyfriend/girlfriend for two years almost. But now Iām actually dating, and I get lied to all the time, and the stupidest things anyone could ever lie about. Mostly guys think women all want a guy w/ loads of money so they lie about how much money they have. Iāve had lies about ācreating an appā which is easily verifiable, or they lie about āhaving a trust fundā which as a multi generation trust fund baby, I realize very quickly that they know nothing about what a trust is, nor how they work! Itās stupid little lies, but as your 2nd meme essentially read āonce I realize that you lied to me about something, no matter how small, I can no longer believe anything you tell meā that is 💯% my philosophy regarding liars! So any man who says he lies to us because WE want to be lied to is just rationalizing his abhorrent behavior! (In other words, itās just another bullshit excuse)!

Though women don't like being lied to, they often want to hear the answer they are seeking. Some examples of that might be "Tell me you love me," or "Is my butt fat in these jeans?" Sometimes guys feel it is easier to give them what they want to hear rather than take the chance of it escalating into a major conflict.
If women pay attention and observe, they'll know the answer before asking the question. I can understand if they are asking our preference, but they know how they look. They know when they add something special to the moment that makes them lovable. Expecting someone to validate you in order to raise low self-esteem will never raise self-esteem. If you don't already believe something, hearing it from someone won't necessarily lead to believing it.
I admit guys are just as likely to be part of the problem. They'll legitimize dysfunction in order to maintain familiar patterns. They're just as likely as women to place blame rather than look at their own role in whatever is happening. We all have the ability to move things forward with our words and actions, and we all have the ability to sit back and wait for what we feel entitled to receive. A relationship is what two people choose to create and nurture as a team. Without that team effort and mutual respect, we stay on our treadmill indefinitely and never move forward. Even if we choose to give up on one opportunity and find another, without changing our patterns, the same results will probably haunt us forever.

I agree with a lot of what you said. But if a woman says "Tell me you love me", would you tell her you live her if you really don't? Just so things don't escalate? Those words should only be said of you really mean them
Ideally, it would be nice to say "I love you" when we are feeling it rather than when it is demanded for reassurance. My ex was miserable to live with. Rather than be considerate of my feelings, she just demanded I tell her I love her all the time. If she showed some consideration, I would have enjoyed saying "I love you" without any need for demands from her. It doesn't take much to motivate me to openly share my love, but demanding it is a major turnoff. Yes, there were things I did or said just to make things tolerable, even if they weren't truthful. Ever since her, I've run the other way whenever I saw familiar signs in potential partners. At my age, I doubt very much I'll find someone who is truly interested in what I bring to a relationship and willing to be an equal partner. I always dreamt of being in a healthy relationship, yet I never got more than little tastes and teases. My motivation to look has dissipated.
I hear you on that.. people these days are selfish, me me me, put all the blame for their failures on someone else instead of admitting to any wrongdoing of their own... I haven't been in a serious relationship since my husband passed, nor would I want to with the way people are lying more, cheating more, etc...

Unfortunately, selfish people's actions encourage others to be selfish, and it appears to be very contagious. Kids learn very early to grab what they can before someone else grabs it. That is the origin of people's sense of entitlement. When people focus on what they bring to a relationship, they generally are much happier and fulfilled by that relationship. When people focus on what they're entitled to receive from a relationship, they become insatiable, resentful and bitter, and their partner tends to feel sapped of energy and motivation. People don't seem to understand how everyone would be happier and more satisfied if we just chose to be considerate of others rather than feel entitled to shove our agenda down everyone's throat.

Lies aren't a black and white topic. I really like to be honest about everything, but as women have told me, somethings they'd prefer a lie.
Like your girlfriend don't really want to know what you'd rate her like no just cause I'm dating you don't mean I think you're a 9 or 10, you're average but your girl don't want to hear that.
Female friends don't want to know you see then as an attractive woman, they'd rather feel like "one of the boys" .
Honestly half the time I'm talking to women it feels like I'm talking to a child, tiptoeing and choosing words carefully, can't say this, can't say that. And if you do treat them like an equal and just be honest, not treat them special and sugarcoat everything, then they get mad that you "questioned" them or made them "explain themselve".
Lots of girls like lies, that or they are so arrogant that they actually expect to be treated like a princess, that shit ain't cute. You know who else thinks they are a princess? 5 year olds.

Many women do like being lied to. I don't do it. I tell them the truth and they get angry, but the people that lie to them are often liked because of their lies.
Many women like being praised undeservedly and to believe they are special and rare when millions of others are just as good or better at what they do, especially when it comes to the workplace. Same goes for excessive undeserved compliments. Lots of women like it when they are complimented daily. It is fine that the guys that do that cheat often because many women like those types of guys. they get angry at the honest guys that only give deserved compliments and only occasionally and they are faithful. they often get upset and compare them to the liars that overpraise their mate while cheating.
Another example is if she has gained 20 + pounds and you tell her the truth when she asks how does she look, she will get angry. The same goes when they are told that their tattoos make them less attractive, or that short hair and multiple facial piercings also make them less attractive.
I avoid rating more than half of the people on here that ask the how do I look questions because the truth is that the majority of them are below a 5, but there are plenty of desperate and horny guys that will rate them a 9 or 10. They like the lies. They are used to them.
Female decision making is unfortunately heavily impacted by their emotions. Obviously nobody wants to date or interact with a liar. But sometimes women ask guys questions they canāt handle the answer to.
Classic example: girl asks a guy if āshe looks fat?ā
Maybe the hard truth is the girl has definitely gained some weight since they first met. So the guy can A) be honest and say āI wouldnāt call you fat but you have put on a few poundsā B) lie to her and say ānah babe you look great. Just as hot as first met youā C) say āhey babe you know what I think I need to hit the gym more. Do you want to come with me?ā
Direct guys (or even guys who arenāt thinking) will answer A. Guys who are too nice or just too nice will answer B. Last but not least guys who donāt mind being shit tested with a loaded question will answer C.
Answer C is the best answer. Itās a strong hint but it gives a resolution. But most women want to hear option B. They rather have the āgood feelingā of the compliment vs. facing reality. Very few women can accept answer A.
Anyway women should think twice about asking questions they donāt want to hear the ugly truth to. Also it really is a shit test if they ask this expecting to ātestā the guy to give the right answer.
It's not that we believe women want to be lied to per se so much as women choose the liar over the better overall guy 9 times out of 10. After a while it becomes obvious a guy has 2 choices. Keep losing out to a guy who will tell a woman just what she wants to hear even if it's a downright lie. Or keep his honor.
My personal belief is if a woman isn't smart enough to see a guy is full of s*** why would I want to date her? Let her keep getting f***ed and dumped. Maybe at some point she'll figure it out. Me? I'll stick to the women who respect themselves. They may be fewer in number. But a woman who has respect herself is more likely to respect you.

I tell the truth to women (and men) daily, and women call me "misogynist" for it. I don't know if you can kiss ass without lying to a woman, but yes, MOST women I talk to, online or not, want you to kiss their ass 24/7 and will cry and whine "misogny and sexism" if you don't. Which, you know, is no skin off my ass, but it's definitely true. Like I said though, maybe it's possible to be submissive and a cuck to women (which is what they want) without lying to them, but that's not me.

Especially when it really matters. Just tell the truth, yeah we will get mad but it wonāt last as long as being mad because they lied. First we are mad at what they are living about and then we are mad because the lie about it. Then that lie turns into another lie and so on. Then the truth comes out and we are infuriated!
We all like being lied to, to an extent. Just full brutal honesty will only cause heartache. Even as a human to live, you gotta ignore some hard truths, create some kinda bubble for ourselves. We are not ready for all truth. Its why people prefer religion, that something much powerful than life and death is watching over them, that all the shit they go through has some meaning. That everything is going accroding to some grand plan. I think some lies are not actually lies, like calling a girl, angel or beautiful. I want you to feel good. Its not black and white. Being lied to is no fun, you probably have every reason to hate the person that lied to you. But our lives revolve around many lies about reality, it would crumble otherwise when the proportions start to lean more towards the honesty. Lying about cheating or how they feel about relationship or their life, what they do, there are some basic things, u need to be honest with and u have to be honest regardless of the outcome.
Lying gets you no where, it blows up in your face all the time, it just may take a minute. It's even worse if you make it a compounded lie.
They don't want to be lied to. I would say they want to be impressed by the guys that take interest in them or the men they take interest in. That I believe serves as a precursor to a lot of men establishing a lie to stay in the game with a woman that catches their eye.

I don't believe anyone likes being lied to. I believe that being honest and direct without any anger and emotion takes certain personalities and sometimes some men and women are incompatible with each other and cannot do this. Trust which has to be earned in a relationship (romantic or friendly) plays a big part too.

Yeah I'd agree with that because I've never seen women justify a lie by saying men want to be lied to... I have seen them justify it as it won't be nothing if they don't find out. I think the bulk of men's lying is done to get laid. I mean most of us figure out pretty quick to just tell a woman what she wants to hear and you get in her pants. It's kind of vicious in that way because they just want to get laid. On the other hand though when women do it, they're out to take more than dick in the long run. Like I've had flings and that kind of fun without having to lie at all and I would argue that not having any lies in play made it smooth and the eventual separation was not a negative thing due to just being honest. Let's say we are dealing with a son or daughter though... they both should be warned about the dangers involved. I was lucky and my Mom sat me down and stright up told me the tricks females would do like poking holes in condoms, getting a used condom out of the trash, and the usual stuff like being accused of doing stuff you didn't do. At the same time though I don't think she did as good of a job of warning my sisters of the bullshit men most likely do. Life is messed up for sure and there's a lot of non-good faith players out there. The differences are suttle between the genders.. but I think it all comes down to deception being the major negative part of it all.
