Have you ever been cheated on? would you do that to somebody, why?

Its horible to even image its a possibilty in our life.

I've been researching on infidilty among couples and the statistics shock me. The probability of getting cheated is significant and it is making me sick. I have never been in a relationship before and to be honest it scares me to seek love.
How can you trust someone in this world where everyone seems to be selfish and tries to get on top of each other. It would be helpful to know how you learned to trust your partner.
I invite everyone who are knowledgeable and with same fears for an open discussion.

Not that I know of, and I never did. The closest I got was one time when I was really finding one of my ex-girlfriends a total drag, and I met this girl I was really clicking with. But I didn't see the point of cheating so I broke up with that ex first. I also didn't jump into dating the new girl. I took my time with it.

For the trust stuff, I just find the root is communication. If you have the type of partner where you can share everything with each other, and you stay strong that way, people might pull up some statistics on me and say I'm naive and they have me at a disadvantage because I can't pull a lifetime experience with my wife to them.

But there's a communication aspect I have with her that's truly exceptional, and I'm not saying that in some love-smitten puppy-dog way. I can even tell her when I think she's getting fat, and she can tell me the same. How many boyfriends or husbands can tell their girlfriends/wives when they're getting fat? I can, and I can make my wife laugh. That puts me in some top percentile as I see it. I can share anything with her, and she can share anything with me. Cheating seems extremely improbable with us.

We've even had friends and family scolding us for being too honest. Like I'll say I love women's sexy legs! Then my friends and family say a married man shouldn't say such things, but then my wife pitches in and says she knows that already. Then she says she loves handsome men and finds some she knows very handsome, and they try to scold her the same and I pitch in saying I know that already. This doesn't factor into our fidelity to each other. On the contrary, it helps our fidelity because a relationship built around honesty and trust leaves little room for deception.

Luckily I haven't been cheated on in a previous relationship. (I'm currently single)

I would never cheat on a partner, I really despise cheating.

And yeah, I fear being cheated on very much. It has always been a big fear for me. One of the many reasons I'm happy being single at the moment, then I won't have to worry about that part.

I dated someone for 5 years and for the kast 6 months of our relationship she was cheating on me she would always tell me she was going to parties or has to work late and when she got home she would shower right away I caught onto it eventually

Yes I find it hard to trust men now these days so I rather be alone.. I found out about my ex’s preying on minors so I don’t want ran into another bad news guy.. 😮

Yes he is a pedophile I’m glad I left him, his on sex offenders list than I found out my 3rd ex who’s a serial cheater a minor had reported him to police he did something similar to that minor as he did to me when I was a minor he isn’t on sex offenders list just yet.. I’m going make a report on him too..
