I didn't have a relationship till I was 35. Since then I've got engaged and have 2 kids. I spent many years wanting life to be different but not taking action to make it happen. Was only when I made a conscious choice to visit a shrink that I turned my life around

Well that most likely means they won't ever because they have failed in that field either by not trying or simply unable to be a good picker and a good pick. Doesn't mean its bad if you have put your effort elsewhere and benefited that way.
