Doesn't really matters as long as we both love each other. My dad's name is rare so it's not possible most likely. However it will be cute if it is so. I will see it from better way rather than weird. I mean I had (dad's name) as my father and my kids will also. So it will be funny.

I think it's more a problem if you're a guy. If you marry such a woman, then she would mostly take your surname (so she would not only have the same name as your mum, but also surname :D )

Well if I was a guy I would give my wife the independence to choose whether she wants my surname or not. It's fine if she doesn't. Nothing necessary. And I assume she won't because of same name.

Probably, because hardly anybody with my mom's name spells it the same way as she does. Mainly because her name is spelled in the French as opposed to English way. I don't think I could marry anyone with my sister's name, even if it was spelled differently.

Actually, I am not aware of any eastern European ancestry in my lineage. My ancestors came from Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England, Switzerland, and Germany. Came to America in the 1600's and early 1700's.

You generally come to my questions. As a courtesy, let me answer your question. I actually wouldn't want to. Although my father is of Armenian origin, he has an Arabic name. I would like to have an Armenian or Kurdish wife in the future. Kurds are generally Zoroastrian and Armenians are Christians. so my father's name is rare. I don't know if there are Turks. but i would never marry a turk.

No. Although thankfully my dad has a very dated name and I've only met one guy my age with the same name so I can very easily avoid it. Mum has a gender neutral name which is also fairly of the era so I can easily avoid that as well.
