What do you do if you start having feelings in open relationship?

We live in different cities and see each other from time to time. We both agreed we can meet with other people. Recently I started having feelings toward her and want her only for me but I know it would get complicated. Some advices would be nice... thank you in advance

I think you just need to communicate that to her, it’s completely okay to have a change of heart but you need to be honest with her. Just tell her that you did initially enjoy being in an open relationship but now your feelings have changed and you want her only to yourself - basically you’re now expecting exclusivity (from both ends). Then just tell her how you want to move things forward from there and ask her if she wants the same thing or not. Good luck!

This is the trouble with open relationships with sex. Many people are unable to separate sex and feelings, even though in the beginning they can.

@Bob92220 yeah, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with catching feelings from having sex but at the same time, it means that they would have to make sure that their “feelings” are legit and it’s not just lust or infatuation that you get from having sex with the person

Also, they have to make sure they are on the "same page." Movies and songs are made out of one person having feelings for the other person but it isn't reciprocated. Or one partner starts viewing the other partner with "rose-tinted" glasses and can only see the good. If there is bad, the person makes excuses or even blames themselves.

It's super hard I'm also in long distance relationship and yes we told each other we could have fun with others as long as we didn't get emotionally involved. I would be honest with her tell her how you feel because maybe she feels the same way

Um I have no idea if I'm being honest I've never um 🤭 been in a relationship like that or any in general I would like one of any kind but sadly I doubt I'll have one of any kind so as much as I wish I knew how I would feel if I had feelings for another in an open relationship I have no idea.
