My boyfriend still wants to be a couple but no longer puts in any effort?

My boyfriend has completely stopped putting in effort and has only been breadcrumbing me these past weeks. We don’t do anything we don’t even have anymore. I ask him and invite him over to places but he never says no he doesn’t say yes either but leaves me on read. So I have to double text him and he finally replies with ok but stops responding when it’s time. I asked him several times if he wants to break up or has he lost interest and he says things like “I really don’t feel like hearing this right now” “if you don’t stop thinking like that…” I don’t know what to do.

If this has only been going on for a few weeks give it time. Just tell him you need better communication for the relationship to work out or else it is just a waste of time. Did you ask him if he is going through something? Maybe he is depressed or extra stressed because of work.
