Why do some people lie and tell their significant other that he/she is perfect?

Let me say something. When you lie to your SO. You are really hurting things. I am NOT saying to be a dick or a bitch to your SO... BUT... Telling the truth or not saying anything at all is the way to go.

NOBODY is perfect. NOOOOOOOOOOOOBODY.

When you tell lies and your significant others realizes that what happens is when you really mean something it does not mean NEAR as much

Sometimes love is blind and it will make you overlook a person's flaws.
I'm guilty of building my girlfriends up in my mind, to the point where they can do a lot of negative things and I'm very quick to forgive, and keep the fantasy of her being perfect. I'm slowly learning to be smarter.

I tell my wife that I know she is not perfect but she is perfect for me. That way I got the whole thing covered.
