There are times when we date somebody and we break up and when we break up we have a couple days few days a week and things start to change and you get over it you're done you're over it and you move on but then there are times where when we fall in love it's a little bit deeper it's a little bit harder because we all have an energy inside of us and when that energy falls in love with that other person's energy it becomes one of the hardest and most difficult breakups ever we don't understand why we can't sleep why we can't eat why we are miserable and it's not like us to be that way it's not us it's our energy we could walk away we want to walk away but our energy wants to stay our energy is
m o u r n i n g that other energy and it is very very difficult but but I can also tell you this inside of us we have the ability to adapt we have the ability to change we have the ability to do whatever we want to whenever we want to that sounds bold but that is the truth so if you wanted to take 5 years to get over somebody because you're just not done ruining it or thinking about it or dreaming about it or feeling sorry for yourself that's how long it's going to take no on the other hand if you say this is b******* enough is enough and you go out of your way to keep yourself busy to go find somebody else to do something positive to help somebody that needs help to change your world around you can get over it pretty fast people need to understand they are the only person inside of them they are the only person that can get over this and in the time manner that they want to get over it just by changing up your thoughts the things that you do don't feel sorry for yourself Let It Go spit it out s*** it out piss it out run from it but however long you want it to last however long you want to feel like crap that is your choice

Well never more than a week or two at most in highschool... but with that said it took me over 10 years to actually divorce my ex-wife after 22 years of marriage, and I am still dealing with the mess. It was complicated but I am quit loving her around 2016 honestly, but 6 years later I am still dealing with it and not quick over or down with the process yet. She just keeps hanging round like a virus you can't get rid of.

As an adult I never really fell in love with someone I could get over pretty quick... been dating my current girl friend for 7 months and I will admit that I really lover her and that would be tough if something happened... she's amazingly awesome to me and really care for her.

For me it was over 40 years. Probably that long because we were married and had a baby together. My son looks so much like him.
Our marriage ended very abruptly - he cheated on me. There was no fights, we got along great in fact. So it was a total shock to me.
Even after 40 years, sometimes I hear a song on the radio in the car and tears well up in my eyes. I was so much in love with him.
He was in a rock-'n'-roll band lead 🎸) and they used to cover songs from the band called Boston. So when I hear songs playing by Boston, I can't help but be sad.

My first love, I was young dumb & full of...
I invested all of myself & failed to pay attention if it was appreciated or reciprocated. That burnt me on relationships for 23 years & I worked on & invested in myself since. I also had a string of flings right after for a 3 month period I wasn't proud of so I spent my time in the desert. Entirely self imposed. My Venus is in Cancer with a Pisces full moon.

Years. Because the @#$^@# would not leave me alone. Doing everything she could to push my buttons. But I locked my keyboard and she was left just looking foolish as I stayed true to my own character and not her projected one.

Guess what? she is still doing it but I am gone 2000 miles away. NOW I am over it. ahhhhhhhh :D

Well currently I have a friend who I really like but they're dating someone else. I really cherish our friendship and I would never do anything to risk ruining it. I'm trying to get over them because at the end of the day, they're still in my life and that's all I can really ask for. Tips would be helpful lol.

2-3 years. Same amount of time I had the relation. If it wasn't for something she hide from me, months after we breakup, I would recover from it in less time; but that secret she confessed had me thinking a lot.
