What if buying something for your partner isn’t equal?

I buy food and other things for my girlfriend all the time but I never receive anything in return. She constantly says that I make more then her and that’s why but even when she gets quite a bit of money getting me something is an issue when she orders food she has to pick the restaurant I also get told I can’t get a drink. When I order food for her I tell her to pick the place and get whatever off the menu.

My wife and I figured this out a while back because of our income disparity.
Just because someone makes more doesn't mean they have to pay more.
If you two were simply roommates your incomes wouldn't matter.
You would each be responsible for half.
Now just because you are sleeping together doesn't change anything.
So what we did was create a separate household account and every month we each put x amount of money in.
That covers the house payments, taxes, utilities, food etc.
Our personal spending does not come out of there.
Her spending habits are different than mine, but that is her issue, not mine.
We have yet to argue about money.
I'm not surevif your girlfriend will see it that way.
Money is the biggest issue in any relationship.
It has been one of the largest causes of failed relationships other than you banging her sister/best friend.
