Whats up with them not responding as fast and talking less with me?

Before my partner and I dated we talked everyday a lot about our interests and sent each other gm/gn texts (I don't know why we weren't dating already but bear with me)

Now that we are dating and summer has come, they don't check their messages for hours and don't respond to me for a while. They send gm/gn like half the time and we don't get to talk about things like our hobbies and stuff

I miss talking about stuff like that and I want too but its really hard now that they don't really check their phone. I understand people have lives but it feels like a lack of interest and it doesn't take that much effort to talk to someone a little.

Should I talk to them about it? Do you think I am annoying them by texting in more frequent volume than them? Why have they not been checking their phone as much? It's the only issue I have with the relationship.
