Should I confront my boyfriend with an email I found?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 3 years. We have been living together since about 2 months in our relationship. Last year I bought a house for us to live in with our 4 cats. Everything has been smooth so far.

Yesterday he asked me to check the status of an order through the track and trace link in his email. He passed me the laptop while he went to the bathroom. I opened the laptop and saw scrolled down in his inbox to find the track and trace email. Here I saw a confirmation of him singing up to Lovoo in the subject of an email in his inbox. I did not know whay it was, so I googled it and found it was some weird dating app. I am crushed. I even asked him last night if there was something he was hiding from me, which he denied.

I feel sick to my stomache. He has been giving me much more compliments lately and being more thoughtfull and supportive then he has ever been the past 3 years. Not that he was a dick, but he would only give a compliment when something expentional was happening.

what you should do is... to ask a simple question, and then let him answer

straight, simple question... "why did you sign up for a dating site if you're already in a relationship with me"

just ask that question and wait for an answer... and listen to it, if he says he did not, just point at the email and then ask again, the same simple straight question

don't throw guesses of your own, do not throw accusations, do not assume anything, do not ask other questions either, because all these things could give him the choice to make the discussion about something else and avoid to answer the question that matters the most

so just ask that one simple straight question as many times as needed to be repeated

if he answers right away, with honesty... that's a good sign

if he does not answer the question and goes around the bushes or picks up a fight or whatever... then that's a very bad sign

Red flags both about the rare compiments and and the email. You females need to have a three redflag limit. You just mentioned two. I dont like relationships for convience although i have done it but i wouldn't do it these days allthough when i did she couldve catered to my desires and became my queen but she wouldn't wasn't into it i guess. I say no not yetbwcause this isnhow it will go down, you ask about it he denies or makes up something you want to hear you want to believe it so you do and nothing changes. You need to catch him but he's on to tou he knows you knows now so it won't be easy. Personally i think you should move on or start looking elsewhere. That sort of thing usually does not go away. You just keep getting lied to and hurt. But maybe he's changed but not likely.

The fact that he looked at a dating site doesn't necessarily mean that he is reaching out and looking for someone else. Did you have an argument recently?

He singed up for it, hence the email so he is not just looking.

We have not fought recently. One of our cats has a potential terminal illness which we have to give injections for 3 times a day and force feed her aswell. That does not always go so great, so we sometumes bicker about that. But other then that, nothing.

Maybe you had a spat, he started questioning whether you are right for the long term, and impulsively started thinking of online dating/wanted to see what else is available. If that is what is happening, it is obviously a big warning sign but not necessarily the end of the relationship.

Yes, you deserve to get an explanation on what he is doing and if it's a dating site then he should be honest with you, maybe he bought a male sex toy that is a dating app to a dating website it could be anything.

There is the possibility it was a spam email. I get TONS of emails like that and they're annoying beyond belief

Maybe you should talk to him about and ask why he signed up for it. Or, it was probably from a long time ago before he met you.
