  @Clyde_123 if you can't have them, then obsessing about them does you no good. And that applies in different ways.
  
  Lets say they like you too, but they're in a relationship and you're waiting around for them. What reason do they have to make a move? If you're going out and meeting new people, then they'll feel the pressure that they might lose an opportunity. That might force their hand. There's not much that's more powerful than a love interest slipping away.
  
  If they make the decision to not pursue, then you have a solid answer. No matter what they said to you, they chose something else. And you didn't waste a year or whatever on someone who was never gonna come around.
