I don't want to leave her because she will get alimony payments because we are common law married. She doesn't understand the laws, but i am sure one of her friends will tell her to take my money away from me. She's boring doesn't really have much to offer to a conversation talks about hotdogs and her favor ice-cream. Too boring and simple for me. I need someone more intelligent who can keep up with me in a conversation. She's a nice person, but just too simple for my taste.

If you together for 7 years they consider you married and your status changes to common law marriage. So if I leave it's like a divorce. I know it's a bs law.
