Should I be patient and keep talking to him?

There's a guy I have been talking to, but lives a 2.5 hour drive away. Early on I expressed that we live too far away, but he insisted it was possible to make something work. We've been speaking for over a month. We planned to meet bank holiday Monday, but he's always tired (suffers from insomnia) and has a business he runs weekends in the mornings.

I mentioned my concerns and he said he wants to keep talking, he really likes me a lot and I'm "beautiful and funny". We have been speaking most days through video chat. I just don't know where this is going. He says he has to figure things out. We text every day, but I don't want a long distance friend.

He says he has lived many places and travel is no problem, and also we live in the same country, but he doesn't talk seriously about meeting up. Sometimes he'll say "we need to meet and spend some time together". He's told me all about his life and told his friends about me, but am I just someone he talks to because he's lonely?

Should I be patient and keep talking to him?
