That’s such a cynical view and it’s also an absolute statement. It’s an oversimplification of reality. One needs to think twice before using the term ALL.


With almost all things in life, there are exceptions and circumstances that debunk absolute statements like that. Context is always important.


But, many people don’t like to critically think nowadays. It takes less mental effort to just broadly generalize whole groups of people.


But it’s that broad generalization is the same reason that racism and sexism gets created.


People need to be assessed as individuals rather than be judged by the actions of others whom they had nothing to do with.


I like to say that the answer to most of life’s questions is…


“It depends.”


Because it really does. So many answers to things involve so many different factors, which makes many absolute statements a lazy way to make sense of the world.

No. Most are, but others are formed in complete honesty. People generally decide who they want to date and act in a way they think that person likes. That is lying about who you are. The delusion is that someone will love you the same way when you ache way you really are. Yet if you never put on an act, you will find someone who loves you for you.
