If my boyfriend says that he fear for our potential future children if I keep burning food while cooking, does that mean he wants to have kids?

"Lovelybones13", I can't take this seriously! For him to comment to you that he "fears for our potential future children if I keep burning food while cooking" sounds to be to an absurd comment to make to you regarding food or anything else!

To begin with, he should be grateful that you cook, much less, make a comment about your 'burning food" and further that he fears for 'your potential future children" because of it! Certainly, he must be joking!! From my POV, that is an absolutely insane comment to make to my future wife, and the mother of my children!

That is why I can't take this seriously.

Mmmm that's suspicious.. did you you buy the House as a joint effort or you did it all by yourself? Words are meaningless.. his actions speak louder... has he done something to prove he wants marriage?

I boufht rhe house myself since I had about 175k in savings and he had none. He also had about 80k student loan debts left, I have no debts. So he was not in the position to buy a house or spend money on it. So it is my house and he pays me informal rent for the electricity/gas/water/internet/mortage etc.

Perhaps you're right. However, judging from what you wrote there's something he's not telling you. I mean there's nothing stopping him from proposing so why doesn't he?

Because then I will be seen as his finacial partner and my savings/house/income will also be held acountable in how much and how fast he has to pay back the student loan debts.

It means that kind of, he is also being a dick. One does not learn to cook over night. I've been cooking since I was 8 and still on occasion burn things. Why doesn't he learn to cook? If he is really that concerned perhaps he should learn too cook as well.

He can cook really well and often does the cooking, but he wants me to also be able to cook from time to time. I always make easy food, byt still manage to burn them 90 % of the time.
