I recommend reading Daisy Jones and the Six! It's an amazing book and it honestly made me look at cheating differently.

I used to have the mentality if my partner cheated on me or kept secrets from me I would break up with them - I don't deserve that kind of treatment. But that book made me question what I would actually do if that situation arose.

People should always be allowed to have their secrets. People are going to have crush's or feel sexually attracted to others no matter what - its a hard pill to swallow, but its the truth. Men, women, and everything in-between will have secrets in marriage/ relationship. When you choose to marry someone you are choosing them for better or worse. Obviously if I found out my husband cheated on me I would feel betrayed, hurt, angry. I would feel terrible - BUT, do I love him and does he love me enough to work through it? People make mistakes. Would he break up with me if it was the other way around?

I guess it comes down to the individual relationship, and if its worth more than a one time cheat (I say one time because if my partner did it repeatedly I would break up with them).

So yes - I would forgive if I felt like he was the right partner to me and if I was committed and he was committed to me for life.

but that does not mean I condone or accept cheating as part of the relationship... so the relationship itself would be over between us, but yes... I can forgive if she wants some sort of forgiveness, lol
