personally, I can cover four incomes myself... and I am still not going to marry a couch potato
and to me is not about money, it is just compatibility... I have never met anyone and feel attracted to them while they were at home doing nothing at all
but the problem here is... "refuses to do something" this is the attitude that, could bring a lot of problems because it could reflect on many other things, and it could possible replicate in many other aspects of life, so just, no...
That would not be an issue as I can gangle the financials and 2- 4 kids is going to keep her busy.
So he would be at home all day not doing a damn thing? I’d dump him. If you want to be a stay at home partner or spouse and it’s affordable, fine. But get off your duff and clean, cook, maintain the house, care for the children, etc. I wouldn’t want to come home from working all day and have to do ALL OF THAT as well.
I can easily sustain the lifestyle my husband & I have been enjoying for so long now. However, I don't want him to be idle. I can accept it if he doesn't provide or share. I just don't want to enable him to sabotage himself. Furthermore, the devil also preys on idle hands & minds... making them the devil's workshop.

She doesn't have to work so to speak (have an income). But I'm not cool with her doing NOTHING! As her partner it's my job to help push her. I would EXPECT the same from her for me. Because a life without purpose is NO LIFE. She can volunteer! She can start a charity! Look inside her heart, talk to God! There's is ALWAYS someone in need of God's mercy. She can help be that miracle.
That wouldn't be much of an issue for me, if contributed to my life in other ways.
Bills paid... Check
House is fairly clean... Check
Dinner is ready when I get home... Check
Nope dont see an issue there.
Do nothing? Yes, a deal breaker. I'm not going to willingly support an able-bodied freeloader.
Yes. Definitely a deal breaker. If he's well, he should work.
Im one of those women but definitely NOT a couch potato or a free loader or a shop-acholic.
But he will do cook, clean, laundry, dishes, etc?
Honestly that would be a deal breaker.
I will find a better S/O
