A crush verses love? Do you think there is a real difference between the two or do you think it is a fabricated division between the two?

Do you think a crush is the initial beginning of love and that love will grow if given a chance for example if the two were to come together? If something last for years or last forever or in other words it never goes away would you call that a crush or would you call it love?

Crazy Story here When I went to Community College. I met my current wife of 50 years. When we met I did not think I wanted her to sit by me in class. She is 4'11'' , I am 6 foot tall. I think that infatuation or crush is an initial attractive force. Does it have it's roots in eroticism. I think so. There comes a point in a boys life when he stops avoiding social contact with girls and begins to find them attractive. No more cooties or I now have a new appreciation for cooties.

Oh yes the cooties was going around back them. But as for myself they never had cooties and there were no social contacts I lived mostly in isolation when it came to the opposite much like I do now. As far as they cooties they never had cooties until feminism took over.

I'm sure there are studies that have measured the level of hormones present in the two when talking about the people in question. There would be nothing fabricated because the level of these hormones is what makes us feel what we feel.

Im not an expert in this matter so these are my assumptions based from my observations and perspective. I think Hormones play a role in puppy love. Since they are the messengers. I would imagine puppy love being a combination of hormones kind of like a cocktail of hormones thrown at you because of the excitement of the newness and attraction. probably adrenaline and oxytocin mix with others i probably don't know. Once you get to know the person and the reality of them vs the infatuation of how you imagined them to be will decide if its more oxytocin less adrenaline love more adrenaline less oxytocin or no oxytocin fight or flight right?

I don't rely on studies because studies are for hire too as we have all witnessed over the last few years not that I ever did trust them anyway. But the fight or flight certainly makes sense especially when we come to know women in general.

We should always take the data presented to us then look around and see if it matches up to the reality of what we are experiencing. I've always said perception is reality because from that perspective it is and our minds will react accordingly. Secreting the chemicals that it feels it needs to help prepare the person to deal with the experience in question. Since we all have different perceptions multiple realities would have to exist. So I don't think people are inherently bad they are just making decision based on the perceptions that shaped their reality. Im sure to some out there I've done some shitty things or may even be considered a bad person that I felt were the right decision at the time

Yes in deed if the data don't match reality is should always be thrown out truth is the only way to go. And as far as the data goes I have spotted many many errors in it. For one if puppy love is was just puppy love then how would it be that I never forgot and therefor truly got over my then when I was 9 girlfriend? The data would only offer a lie.

EXACTLY you hit it on the head. So then to suggest that it's not real love wouldn't be accurate right? Then a crush doesn't mean that it's not real love it just means that it's one sided love one loves another while another doesn't love them back right?

Some people are looked at in a certain way that causes them to be a "crush" but you could not see being long term with them.

Do you think there is a certain age when true love can be defined? Or do you think real love verses a crush can be defined at any age? The reason I'm asking this is because most children anyway or at least back in my day rather they did or didn't have certain feelings regardless didn't know the adult thing.
