Is Valentine's Day only for people in love?

So practically, people in almost African countries think and feel Valentine's Day is only for people married, boyfriend and girlfriend or someone presenting something special for his or her crush yet according to my researches (I love researching), it states that Valentine's Day is a day for sharing love with family and everyone important in your life

Of course not. It is for everyone. Valentine's day is a day for lovers to enjoy the company of one another. Because of that, those who aren't in love are also made aware of their place in the romantic hierarchy. That place is on the floor of the shower with beer cans strewn across the floor, still fully clothed and weeping as the cold water cascades over their heads to the tune of All By Myself by Barry Manilow or whoever it was who sang it.

I celebrate it not, but it’s for people who CAN love, not just those who are enamoured. My first crush was at 13, and I celebrated it before. Furthermore, I doubt a girl giving me a lolly on St Val’s Day is a certain.

I would say it's for everyone. Me and my friends are all not seeking significant others and we get each other gifts because we like to celebrate our friendship and our love for each other by doing so. Valentine's Day is about love. It can be any kind of love. Platonic, romantic, etc.
