Yeah I got to agree with the rest here. It is totally a racial issue. Wether they have something against a certain ethnic group or they just don’t like the thought of sharing. It is often some how connected to race. I think the only times I have had much of any issues was when I made it more of a fetish type thing rather than simply enjoying the people I loved. But otherwise… no one has ever giving me any issues for liking girls from other ethnicities.
Because of old fashioned racism that carried throughout each generation.
I personally have a thing for dark skinned women. Would I consider it fetishism? No.
I consider it to be on the same level of liking anything. I like a hotdog because it tastes good, I read books because they intrigue, and I look at art because it catches the eye and makes my brain go brrr.
Anyone who has a problem with it can suck my left toe.
When I was in graduate school, I took out a very pretty girl in my class, and we went out to a Red Lobster as she liked sea food. The looks people gave us were enough to really bother us both.
They don’t bother me as long as the couples love each other.
But here where I’m from unfortunately a lot of women date outside their race to feel validated and like they fit in among society. For example a lot of white women here who date black men think that because they have a black boyfriend they now have the right to act hood
You also have black women that would go after white men just to seem educated and make their thug exes jealous
well, it's one of those big questions, the question of mixed blood, and the thing is you can't ask the child from it to approve, they have no say in it, and there is a lot of abuse of such children from more races than the couple
I dont think modern young people have a problem with it. Its mostly the old folks from foreign countries such as russia, china, middle east that have a huge problem with interracial dating
Im Asian. A few years ago, i was going out with a white boy and i got glared at by a old russian guy in his 50s for simply sitting with a white boy on a bench.
You're right that it doesn't make sense. Yes: it should be about who is attracted to who and go from there. As for why it bothers some... there are probably countless reasons, among them people of one race don't like the other race or ethnicity and thus think that there should be interracial relationships. It's sad.
maybe for the same reasons age gap relationships bother people?
I'm assuming this is mainly about black and white couples but before we start pointing the finger at "racism" if every mixed baby looked more white than black, there'll be a real uproar from the left claiming that whites are trying to wipe out blacks and that such interracial relationships would be considered racist. seriously though think about it
It's not my problem if it bothers someone or my community. I believe in inter racial relationships. My parents can't force me into an arrange marriage with a villager woman. I am not against arrange marriages. But it's not for me. TBH, I am attracted towards white blonde girls. I am gonna marry one. Why should I suppress my feelings? What now? Are you going to punish me? It's natural and it's evolution. Change is inevitable.

I find most often they bother white incels and black racist women, in my experience. The incels thinks it taints the white blood if a white woman is with a man who isn’t white; and the racist black women think their men are being stolen… though for both situations they don’t seem to care as much if someone of their own gender is dating interacial. Although with Hispanic and Asian parents while they don’t care what others do they take it as a personal rejection if their kid doesn’t marry someone who looks like them. (Tbh I know a lot of Hispanics married to second cousins or in laws 💀)
Black men and white women are typically the most open minded about it, but I think black women and white men have the healthiest dynamic whenever the rare match happens. Both of these things have some statistical backing of truth as well. this is mostly just my observations and what I’ve noticed from around me.

I honestly believe it’s better for white people to mix up with black people because of history. They are too divided right now but will become United once mixed into with each other. The United States also has exploited other countries for too long. This would balance things out on a global scale where we could see third world countries gaining development and hopefully china is a more responsible super power.
For those white people that are scared of identity destruction, you’ve had your time already on earth to shine. You’ve already lived it. You took advantage of others for too long. Created two world wars, destabilized more countries than I can ever count. Took advantage of the Middle East.
You deserve to be replaced and have your identities be replaced with mixed race.
“Race” is a non-issue. There are always causes for concern with an intercultural relationship. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea; only that the participants should be sure to understand the pressure points and go in with their eyes open.
Its one of many things that bother some people, whethers it religion, race, family or home address, people will always be snobbish and righteous. In fact parents can sometimes be the worst offenders.

Look at the reason people like people similar to themselves. It's because we hate the thought of dying.
One of the ways people have come to overcome the fear of death is by having children that look and act similar to themselves. It's called a legacy.
As a white man, if I were to have a kid with a black woman, that kid wouldn't look or act like me.
People also find a lot of meaning in their ethnic identity and culture. Encouraging people to have kids within the same race is a way of defending that.
Because they can’t mind their own damn business and having nothing else going on in their own lives so they have to meddle in and judge other peoples lives for no good reason.
racism, and I say they be intimidated by how those people are of a great mind to take in so much cultural differences and get to experience many things at a time.
My guess is that a guy or girl they liked wasn’t attracted to them because of their race or had issues with them because of their skin colour something like that.
Aside from that I can’t really think of any reasons why someone would have an issue with it.

Love the reply, love how you kept it classy :-)

I get it. Same thing happened to me in grad school as well.
My date was black, and several people in the restaurant were really bastards.
Very sorry to hear this

If you ask me some people are just close minded and can't handle seeing people with different skin colors being in a relationship
Thank you for your straightforward and thoughtful reply
The "bother" is usually around views of race or religion of the individual being bothered.
White Christians will usually feel more inclined around the race factor than the religion factor.
Whereas Jews will be more inclined around the religion than race factor.
Black and Arabs (from the few I know) are usually ambivalent and more concerned around the family aspect.
“Race” is a non-issue. There are always causes for concern with an intercultural relationship. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea; only that the participants should be sure to understand the pressure points and go in with their eyes open.

Because they see it as an invasion and a dilute of their ethnicity by mixing.
I believe people should stick with people from their own ethnicity and my mind won't be changed.
Thank you for sharing!
