I understand there are unhealthy reasons. Perhaps you may be drawn to a certain ethnicity due to a fetish, but I don't understand why some people have an issue, when two individuals are simply attracted to each other, and like each other's company.

The problem with this question is that 99% of all people will think (white men) in terms of racism and not liking interracial. because racist people other than white don't get much converage because it's not controversial enough.
- The same way things like shootings of unarmed white guys by police doesn't get anywhere near as many media outlets picking up the stories as does unarmed shootings of black guys.
It all goes back to the days when white people had black slaves. History won't stop with the white guilt even though almost NOBODY alive today had owned slaves. You can't condemn next generations for what their ancestors did. That's just plain stupidity.
Ignorant stuff like that is why the very first thing many people think of when a white person (says) or (does) something against black people is that that person is "racist". But let a black person say or do something against a white person and nobody cares and guarantee not many call them racist..
Double standards need to stop.
You want to call white people who don't like interracial couples racist? Maybe the white person just hasn't been around black people much. Soooo, they do what many people do
and base them from what they see on TV.. and how are black people portrayed on mainstream popular media? As gun-toting thugs who brag about selling drugs instead of working a regular job. Also rapping about violence.
- any smart person knows how hip-hop is what's "in" for like the past couple decades..
This is the image that music and movies GIVE to people who don't actually know black people in person. Or at least not frequently.
So, in saying all of this, someone sees a black guy with a white girl that MIGHT not give a DAMN about the skin color... They very well just might not want to see the girl with what they believe to be how a black guy is like...
You want to blame anyone? Blame the mainstream media and hip hop in general for making an entire race look like no good people..
This same stuff applies to ANY racially mixed couple by the way. There are stereotypes for every race..
It comes down to people are afraid/intimidated by people they don't understand. All they can do is draw conclusions of what that type of person is like based on MEDIA.
oh, and I'm black, so don't come at me with no racist bs
P. S. for white women.. We aren't all "hung" or sexually aggressive animals as the stereotype goes... That is 1000% the interracial porn industry that PERPETUATES that stereotype because they know they can make billions presenting people how stereotype-believing people THINK they are..
Great perspective. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
I’m a mixed kid who comes from an interracial couple. I’m not going to blame the mainstream media for one persons comments/actions towards my parents or any other mixed race couple because to me, that’s not holding them accountable for their own actions and words. It’s not the mainstream medias fault that, on my parents wedding day, a white lady who my parents did not know at came up to my dad and congratulated him before taking a look at my mother. When she did, she had a disgusted look on her face and asked my father in the most outrageous tone, “why didn’t you marry a white lady?” You can’t blame mainstream media for that. The only thing or person to blame in that situation is the white lady. There’s only one word for what my mom experienced that time and that is racism. That’s not the fault of the mainstream media, that’s the fault of some bitchy white lady who couldn’t mind her own damn business. The way I see it, as long as the couple isn’t hurting anybody, it’s no one’s business but theirs as to their race or sexuality or anything like that. There’s nothing wrong with being the same race as your partner, just as there’s nothing wrong with being a different race then your partner. It’s not the fault of mainstream media that some people are judgmental and can’t mind their own damn business. Sure, mainstream media has several issues with correctly representing the underrepresented communities, but I’m not going to blame mainstream media for racist people and for people who can’t mind their own business.
@thatshydork thank you very much for your valid point. People can always choose to have the attitudes they keep, we don't have to be influenced by the media at all.
We can never get enough of Black Conservatives. You are the true heroes vs BLM and douchery that is Liberalism. Apparently it's your time to shine now. We are behind you 100%.
