Long term boyfriend says he hopes I die soon so he doesn’t have to deal with me anymore. What should I do?

I am financially dependent on him so I can’t just pack up and leave. I’m heartbroken honestly and believe he is probably cheating for him to say something so malicious.

I understand what you’re saying. He really may try to kill me. I don’t put it past him. What can I do in my situation though. I can’t be homeless and I want my kids to have a good start to their life. It sucks for me, but I will sacrifice my happiness for my kids. He is always putting me down and calling me names because I say things that make him angry. I know im not perfect and I cause some of the problems, but he never takes any blame for anything that he says or does. He doesn’t even apologize afterwards. Thank goodness my kids don’t hear the horrible things he says to me. I have no other words than that I am heartbroken. What do I do? It’s so easy to say just leave.

It's not easy and i wasn't implying it, but sometimes it's the only choice. If you had someone pointing a gun at your head, you'd do whatever you could to avoid being shot. It's literally the same scenario, just in slow motion. He's told you he wants you dead and he's physically capable of doing it. We've seen so many instances lately of men killing their wife and all their children. When someone tells you they want you dead, you have to believe it and do whatever to get out of the situation. You must know some friends, family or acquaintances that can help.

i agree with the above poster. That's intent to kill and he may try to go through with it vs you or your children. At the very least if you could catch that on a recording, it's a felony for him to say that.

It’s true but I was the one who stayed home and raised our kids. I think it’s important for a mom to be with her children before they are in school if she is able to. I do wish I had worked and saved money all these years, but I didn’t know my relationship would turn out like this so I thought I was doing something great for my kids.
