Did I make a good or bad decision by having the police take her home, when we found her car had been stolen at my apartment?

Had a brief affair with a married women from work. One night leaving my apartment, when her husband was supposedly 'out of town' we found that her car had been stolen. I was panicky, for the obvious reason, that someone had followed her, (her husband or her husbands friend (s) and had taken the car, and were waiting to see who brought her home, and who knows what would happen then?

A lady friend had just had her brother shot to death under similar circumstances with a jealous (ex husband) killing him after confronting him at his ex wife's home.

I thought it was just too coincidental that her car would be gone, even with her husband supposedly 'out of town' ... for me to take her home and risk that kind of confrontation with whomever stole her car. I could just see her AND I being shot and killed by the 'out of town husband'

After that, she never spoke to me again and had another "lover' threaten me at home and at work.

Do you think a BAD DECISION to have the police to take her home?

I know a BAD DECISION to date a married woman, I already know that.

The police needed to be involved with the stolen vehicle report. Calling a cab may have work, or dropping her off near her home may have been another choice. Having the police return her to her home, likely dissuaded a violent act if that was being considered by her spouse.

In retrospect, I thought about dropping her NEAR her home. She told me Her husband was in DALLAS, "I put him on the plane this morning" Any way, its over with, and no one got hurt. Thanks Emilia. I just wondered if other would think I was being Paranoid,, for having the Police take her home.

I think the police decision was a good one depending on how they did it.

I am curious about the other lover at work. Did he threaten you on the obvious line about you doing his girl?

I cannot remember the exact circumstances, how this moron got involved in it. After the incident of the car being stolen and me having the police take her home, I was on her shit list after that. Some time later, (weeks?) I got a call at my apartment, threatening to damage my Corvette, if I ever talked about "Shirley" at work. I just told him to fuck off, and hung up, and later he called me again at work, and I reported it to Security. I confronted HER at work and she denied knowing anything about someone threatening me. I wasn't afraid, but it just pissed me off, and I decided not to 'confront't this moron at work, and that was probably a good decision. Told my work group guys about what happened and they said just to 'extricate" myself at all costs.
Your are correct, and she was really 'bad news". Never contacted her again, and soon after, moved to California, and learned my lesson and never had any affairs at work or with married women.
The problem is you just never know what can happen in a case like that.

Good for you. Not only was she two timing her husband, she was two timing you and this other guy as well. Highly unlikely the other guy called you without her instigation.

So apart from the cheating she was setting up fighting and potentially gun violence. Nice piece of works.

Anyway glad you are safely out of it.

This was before UBER, and she had to report the Stolen Car to the police anyway. In retrospect, a taxi would have been an alternative, but at the time, I was so freaked out about the stolen car, what the possibilities of WHO might have taken it.
Found out later, that car was used to kill some guy in Cleveland, filled with explosives etc.
That made it more scary. All in all, a nightmare I did not want to repeat.
