Should I have gone around her or waited for her to fix her parking job?

I had a really odd encounter today in the grocery store parking lot. The store was packed and the only available spaces were in the last row. When I was making my way back to my car, I see a lady parking her car next to mine. As I’m approaching, she starts backing out then stops. I wait, thinking she’s going to adjust her parking. Then she pulls forward and closer to my car.

I walk past her to the other side of my car to load my groceries. She parked so close to me that she could barely get out. I notice her make an angry face at me then storm off towards the store. I don’t get what she was mad about. The space on the other side of her was empty. She could’ve parked closer to that side.

Did I make her nervous by waiting for her to finish parking or was she just a weirdo?

Sounds like that lady was just in a bad mood, man. You didn't do anything wrong by waiting to see if she'd fix her parking before squeezing by.

Most people would've adjusted over if they saw someone walking up. She probably saw you and it put pressure on her parking skills, ha. Then took it out on you after messing it up.

I wouldn't worry too much, dude. She's the one who parked like an idiot, not your problem. I'd have just rolled my eyes at her face and ignored it.

You had every right to wait instead of walking around in the road where cars were moving. Can't control what grumpy people do. Just do you and don't stress their bad attitudes.

Next time someone's blocking you in like that though, I'd just lay on the horn real quick so they know to hurry up! Not worth wasting time on cranky drivers.
