She has been kicking me out (locking the door and blocking me) of our apartment and it has been getting easier and easier for her. This is my home but and I have the right to get police to assist me getting in the thing im afraid of is how she would act after they left. We just got a puppy recently and we made commitments based on that and now she’s right back to this crap. It’s like she enjoys punishing me by even refusing to give me my wallet if it is left in the apartment when she locks me out. I know this is not healthy but I have no other option right now
Hi there I work as a police dispatcher. Depending on your state’s laws police may not assist you with getting into the apartment unless your name is the only one on the lease. If both names are on the lease it becomes a civil matter and should be taken up with the courts.
What you can do in is request a civil standby to retrieve your belongings with police presence at the residence. I would also recommend filing an order of protection (restraining order) so that she is unable to contact you.

Do it. Get them involved and get the hell away from that relationship.
If this is property you pay for or your name is on the lease then you get to be the one that kicks her out, not the other way around. And any cop worth his/her salary will inquire first about these basic questions. Don't be a doormat for some woman on a power-trip.
Leave. When she starts texting and calling you ignore her. When she lets you in again, gtfo immediately with all your stuff. What kind of petty immature is she? You want to raise kids with that?

The number one question is why is she locking you out?
I think you should move anyway.
The cops won't help you. You need an attorney to help you with this.
you have got to do what you think is the right thing to do.
Wow, passive aggressive and petty. Ask for whatever you can get out of that apartment and run.
You have to do what you have to do. Do it.
