How long do rushed relationships typically last?

June: Met/talked
July: Became exclusive, moved in together, met the families, went on a destination vacation
August: Moved out of condo and into house, met friends/double dates/couples trips

I don't know if there's any hard-and-fast rules about this. I think that the problem with a rushed relationship is simply feeling you know each other better than you actually do. It can be problematic. But I don't think it's ALWAYS GOT TO BE problematic.

In other words, depending on the particular couple... there's nothing that automatically says that a relationship that was rushed in the beginning won't last. There are going to be cases where such a rushed relationship ended up working out great, and the couple has been happily married for 40 years.

So I don't think there's really an answer to this question. It depends entirely on the couple.

A rushed relationship is definitely less likely to be successful because it was so rushed. But it doesn't mean that it's ALWAYS unsuccessful. Occasionally the relationship having been rushed makes zero difference. The two people were indeed as good at being a long-term couple as they thought when they both rushed things at the beginning.

It really depends on your particular relationship. But if you've been together for 9 months and everything is going great... there is no reason to automatically think you're doomed to not last just because you rushed it in the beginning.

So, just take things as they come. But if things are going well, then they're going well. That's what matters. Until you have concerns/problems/issues... then there's no reason to worry about things having been rushed at the beginning.
