How would you feel if your girlfriend/boyfriend broke up with you because you repulse them and they hate your rotten guts?

They can't stand to be around you. What would be going through your head and would you have a hard time moving on/be extremely hurt for a long time?

I mean... I think anybody would be extremely hurt. But usually nobody breaks up with someone because they are repulsed by them and hate their guts... unless that person has DONE something to repulse them and cause them to hate their guts. So what is going on here?
