This guy who likes me has been asking me lit. He’s a super good guy and I am going to go out with him. One of my friends says “ does he know you’re a single mom? Yes , he knows and he still wants to go out with me. Is this rude? I felt a little weird about it

Your friend just wanted to know that he knows so there will be no problem later because if you didn't tell him and end up getting attached to him only to find out later that he doesn't want to be with a single mum, it will break your heart. So, it's always best to be open. Your friend just wanted to make sure you won't get hurt.

Well he thought it was rude because I have an MBA and can fully take care of myself. And so does he. He said that it was narcissistic of her to think that everyone has the same view as her: he then said too bad she doesn’t know my mother was a single mom

It's not a rude question. Having another man's child is a deal breaker for a lot of men. She was just curious as I would be if I knew someone single with a kid in the same position.

He is super but he isn’t a rare kind of guy. There are plenty of men who don’t mind me being a single parent. I have a lot to offer, I’m a super woman

Don't think it's rude. It's a legit question in my book. Also an important piece of information. It doesn't matter that you're a single mom at all, but some people aren't wanting that type of extra attachment when looking for someone. Seems your friend was asking under the intention of looking out for you

Yes, but if she is really a friend then maybe she should know that is not something I would hide. Also, it tells a lot of what she thinks of me? Most people that truly like someone are not going to even think that way. They will want their friend to be happy and not even think of that. She shouldn’t be friends with a single parent if she thinks so lowly in my opinion. I never even would think to ask someone that is a single woman who told me she met a super good guy and was going on a date with him. If she’s my friend then I would already know that my good friend is genuine and honest? And I right?
