I messed up and dropped my bfs wallet?

I’m a pathetic, worthless person. Somewhere between the car and apartment, I dropped boyfriends wallet. At least an hour went by before we noticed it and now it’s a shit show. I’m hoping it turns up in the morning like most lost things in the exact spot you looked in a million times over. I feel like shit and possibly canceled his birthday plans for next week (hang out at his parents place). I still want to give him a birthday kickback though, a little light in this darkness. Any advice? I’ll keep looking and of course he’s covered his financial bases. He was just about to renew his license and I fucked it up. Going to get him a new wallet but I know that won’t fix anything. I’ve already moved myself to the couch for the next few days.
