Does your partner's constant buying gifts for you make you suspicious or just happy?

This is not related to my own relationship. But around, I see so many couples that buy gifts for each other. Do you think that would make you suspicious about him/her or just happy?

It wouldn’t make me suspicious, but it would make me uncomfortable. I don’t like receiving gifts from anyone, especially if it’s expensive. I always find a way to gift them something in return.

My girlfriend wanted to go to Texas for 2 months for K-9 handler training, and I couldn't go with her. I also threw a big fit and stopped her from going, be ause we had just bought a house and I knew she wouldn't have any income for those 2 months, leaving me with all the expenses.
Thinking back, I should've just let her go. It might've saved her life

I like to buy my partner things on occasion, and have never done it to avert suspicious activities on my part.

I just like to let her know I missed her or was thinking about her.

I like giving small gifts. If I’m out and I see something that I think he’ll like, need, or something we’ve chatted about I’ll get it.….

I do feel uncomfortable receiving gifts though. I wouldn’t be suspicious, I would be appreciative.

Yeah that unlikely to happen to a guy. Not that we need it or expect it. Unless we talk food or cookies or something along those lines, I guess the whole happy thing depends on the gift.
