When people disrespect you or your family, should you stand up for yourself or walk away?

Thanks for the responses. I wanted to know hypothetically, if someone did something disrespectful to you and continues to do it, would you simply ignore it or stand up and say to not do it.

No, make a boundary and effectively communicate that boundary. If they crossed it again, then it would depend on what they did, the reason why, and their mental state lately.
