My girlfriend yesterday has convinced me she's going to her dads for the weekend who she hasn't seen in a longtime, only did she know I had followed her taxi to a really far place, I noted the address and realized it wasn't where her dad lived so I gave her the benefit of the doubt went back to my apartment at around 4pm after a lot of thinking I decided to show up in middle of the night and use the "You forgot your excuse if it actually was her dad which I doubtfully believed. The person who answered was a Indonesian man about my age who was nice, he offered me to come in while my girlfriend was in the shower. He had told me he is going to marry her in a few years and I went on to pretend to be "A friend" from work. Before she came out the shower I had left the house knowing if I had stayed it would have gone down in flames. Now she is messaging me as nothing really happened but im not considering going back.
That being said this is the 4th girlfriend in Jakarta to be caught cheating (2 in the act). I dont know if its the fact I meet them in a party/alcohol atmosphere or the majority just simply don't know what loyalty is.
Does this happen to a lot of foreigners here? Is cheating the solution when things get boring?
