I don’t worry or care what other people do but when I see an interracial couple, my first assumption is that they had a bad experience with some body from their birth culture or race. I also know mixed people that can only date interracially because finding an identical mixture of cultures in a single person is not possible. I also believe a lot of unconscious wiring goes into who you choose to date. Like my friend is Asian and her husband is white and she later learned one of her ancestors was half white. I know a girl who might have mixed ancestors cause she is Asian but has brown streaks in her hair and her boyfriend is European as far as I know.

Interracial couples have been commonplace my entire life - what's weird to me is that it's suddenly being considered a big deal when nobody cared just a few years ago. So much for "progress."
